The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) has been the telecoms’ industry’s leading professional body since 1906, representing thousands of members drawn from a multitude of organisations. From individuals through to multi-national companies, we understand what makes telecoms tick - and what it needs to thrive. Our apprenticeship schemes allows businesses the chance to reap the rewards that other organisations, who have their own schemes, already enjoy. Following extensive consultation to find out what employers want, and with the support of larger organisations such as BT and Virgin Media, we created the ITP Apprenticeship Scheme. Established in 2013, the ITP Scheme is going from strength to strength. We are proud to have been able to provide companies and young people opportunities that they have not had before. Why is it different and what does it offer? Our scheme aims to relieve business of the admin burden that makes apprenticeships impossible for many. Nobody else is offering this service, and by using the ITP you never need worry about where to access a college, the recruitment or developing a training programme. We launched our apprentice programme in 2013 in the UK, and it has been a tremendous success.
