Introduction:-We all know the reach of internet in our lives and society; it is simply incalculable. Television programs cover it, newspapers and magazines write about it, every other person is using it, and so forth. Even the presidents, vice-presidents and prime ministers of various countries have cut a presence on the Internet and Net in short. Recall the use of Internet in American President Barak Obama’s election and our Lok Sabha elections.

What is network ?At home, your computer might be connected to its own printer and scanner. Internet Terminology:-Before we proceed furthers, it wil be good if we brifly talk about internet terminology. Web page: Any digital page/document posted on internet.Web site: A collection of interconnected web page-designed with a certain goal in mind. URL: Uniform Research Locater it is the uniqu address of a web page on internet.Email: Short for electronic mail,email reffers to messeges distributted by electronic means from on one computers user to one or more recipients via a network mostly internet.Email address: Every email has a uniqu electronic post-office box with a unique address on network where E-mail can be sent, this unique address is know as email address.

Web server.A Web server is a computer that stores websites on the Internet and delivers web pages to viewers upon request. A Web server is also called WWW server .

How Servers are different form Desktop

Computer ?Servers are also computers but they have specific features.Memory: Servers requires large amount of RAM to work efficiently.Storage: servers need very large and fast hard disks.Processing Powers: Servers like application servers have more processing power with multiple strong CPUs.

What is WebSite ?A website or site is a group of related web page hosted on a web-server And are linked together and share a common interface and design.

A webpage is a digital document that is linked to the www and viewable by any one connector to the internet having a web browser.
