Benjin platform paragraph 83 Women in Power and Decision-making Women have

demonstrated considerable leadership in community and informal organizations, as well as in public office. However, socialization and negative stereotyping of women and men, including stereotyping through the media, reinforces the tendency for political decision- making to remain the domain of men. Likewise, the under-representation of women in decision-making positions in the areas of art, culture, sports, the media, education, religion and the law have prevented women from having a significant impact on many key institutions.

Sustainable development can only be achieved through long-term investments in economics, human and environmental capital. At present, the female half of the world's human capital is

undervalued and underutilized the world over. Better use of the world's female

population could increase economic growth, reduce poverty, enhance societal well-being and help ensure sustainable development in

all countries

for their lack of good Habits and positive Attitudes . Training is an effective tool for improving skills and knowledge, but habits

and attitudes are improved primarily through personal and professional development. This

is the difference between training and development processes.
