Enrollment Shaping InitiativeImproving Retention and Graduation • Admitted students must be given the best chance for success

– low graduation rate severely hurts IUPUI’s national reputation

• Increase scope of nationally recognized first year experiences – US News recognition for freshman experience – learning communities, service learning, undergraduate research – if something works, do more of it

• Aim for diversity in the graduating class, not just in the entering cohort

• Generate educational value and new revenue streams

• Stress benefits of timely graduation and academic expectations for success

Preparing for timely graduation.
