Surgery for John■ VWor. Bro. John Knorr is expectedto undergo heart surgery at the EpworthHospital, Richmond, today (Tues.,Sept. 1).

John has just returned from a familyholiday at Port Douglas where threebirthdays were celebrated: Rosemary;son Jonathan was 52 , and Sophieturned 21.

John expects to be back at Lodge inthe New Year. Best wishes John.

Bro. Geoffrey Davey will betouring Rome-Turin from October 7-24. Geoffrey plans to be at our October1 meeting at which it is planned thatBro. Lachlan Gould will be raised. Coming Up■ Bro. Stephen Carpenter advisesthat the Ivanhoe Grammar SchoolCentenary Concert will be held at6.15pm for 7pm on Thursday, Septem-ber 17 at Buckley Hall. Working bee success

■ Some 15 Ivanhoe GrammariansLodge members attended a ‘WorkingBee’ at the Hurstbridge property ofWor. Bro. Max Fraser on August 8.

The outgoing Master and his familyare selling the property and moving toa new address at Doreen.

Members of the Lodge thought theycould best show their appreciation toMax in a practical way.

Max thanked members just prior tothe opening of the August 22 meeting.

Max continues to have weekly che-motherapy treatment at Warringal Pri-vate Hospital. It was good to have hisfamily at the Installation.

What’s On

Meeting with PrincipalSeptember 2015

■ Our Master, Wor. Bro. WayneMotton, made an official call upon theIvanhoe Grammar School Principal-Elect, Gerry Foley, last Friday.

Gerry was a welcome guest at theIvalda Masonic Temple for our LodgeInstallation and Open Investiture onSaturday, August 22.

The annual visit to the Principal atthe start of our Masonic Year wasstarted by RWor. Bro. Geoffrey Daveyin 2013-14, and continued by Wor. Bro.Max Fraser in 2014-15.

Wayne presented a cheque for theLodge’s annual donation to the Schoolfor citizenship prizes at The Ridgewaycampus and the Plenty campus.

Wayne is an ‘Old Boy’ of theSchool, and a contemporary of AstridaCooper, Ivanhoe’s Director of Devel-opment.

Just Briefly■ Bro. David McGuinness was dueto attend a MAP2 session at Prestonthis week, accompanied by Wor. Bro.Max Fraser, IPM. Well done David.■ Fairfield Lodge’s meeting onWednesday, September 9 starts at7pm.■ Arm mobility of RWor. Bro.Brian Austen is improving, reportsvisitor RWor. Bro. Geoffrey Davey.

At Mount Scopus■ We see our Brothers from MountScopus and Collegians Lodge at theannual Combined Schools Lodgesmeetings.

Wor. Bro. Izaak Presser was a visi-tor to our Installation on August 22.

He is being installed as Master at ameeting to be held at 3pm on Sunday,September 20 at Moorabbin. The cer-emony will be conducted by MWor.Bro. Hillel Benedykt, Grand Master.

Enid looks fit■ We were delighted to see Enid Dode-maide as our guest at the Installation.

Enid has been in hospital and rehab-ilitation, but drove herself from MountWaverley to be with us.
