General: The incremental position indicator IZ16E is the largest design in the series of battery-powered incremental displays. It consists of a indicator and a magnetic sensor which is connected via a drag-chain suitable cable to the indi-cator. The pluggable sensor cable makes the mounting and an later exchange easy especially if long cable lengths are needed. Like all indicators of the IZ-Series the IZ16E has extensive programming options (e.g., inch mode with fraction and de-gree display). Via the interfaces RS232/RS422/RS485/868 MHz the IZ16E can also communicate with a superior con-troller. IZ16E is also available with a pluggable battery compartment and can be operated with a power supply in this option. The new Snap-In Mounting allows easy mounting in the defined panel cut out on the front side. General: IZ16E-600 [SLAVE] is equipped with a 868 MHz radio module (ISM-Band) for transmitting the actual values (display value). Accessories include a 868 MHz transceiver [MASTER] with an RS232 interface or optional as USB-stick, which is precisely calibrated to the IZ16E-600. The new Snap-In mounting allows an easy installation in the defined panel cut out on the front side. IZ16E-600 and the 868 MHz transceivers are equipped with integrated powerful ceramic antennas. External antennas are not necessary. An important feature of the radio module is the bi-directional data transmission with CRC-checksum calculation and five times repeating of non-acknowledged radio telegrams as well as the output of a receipt. By intervisibility transmission range of up to 200 m is possible.

The bi-directional radio transmission serves as a cable replacement between MASTER and SLAVE:

AZ16 MEASURE INDICATE

General: The position indicator AZ16I is an independent absolute measuring and display system that operates completely independent. The system consists of: 1. a position indicator with an integrated absolute sensor 2. an absolute encoded magnetic tape with max. 8 m measuring length The position reading sensor is integrated in the indicator. A version with external sensor is also available (AZ16E). Included in the delivery is a guide rail with the length of the distance, which has to be measured (please indicate the length with your order, max. length 2.0 m). It is possible to line up four 2 m rails to achieve the max. measuring length of 8 m. Guide rails up to 2 m are already equipped with the necessary absolute encoded magnetic tape. The magnetic tape will be delivered separately if more than one guide rail is needed (measuring lengths longer than 2 m). The car-riage for the guide rail is mounted to the rear of the indicator. On request the system can be supplied also without carriage and guide rail, then the user must provide and guarantee for a suitable mechanical guiding system. It must be ensured that the sensor (integrated in the indicator) keeps the cor-rect distance (0... 1.5 mm) along the whole measuring distance coplanar to the magnetic tape. Applications: Manual slides, guiding and stop systems, where no power supply is available or if the position indicator is moved with the axis and a power supply cable should be avoided.

HWD15

General: The HWD15 has a 20 mm sleeve shaft and is directly attached on the spindle. The position is recorded by the integrated sensor technology and is indicated on the LCD-display. The housing has a stable back board with flange possibility and torque support. The sleeve shaft moves in a maintenance-free slide bearing. The extensive basic functions allow a multifunctional usage. To emphasize especially is the easy pulse rate adjustment (standard 1250 P/R). With a top quality commercial 1.5 V battery of size C the HWD15 works up to 12 months in permanent operation.

1 axis– mini– position indicator

INDICATE

General: The 1-axis- mini- position indicator is the smallest display ELGO offers. Despite its very small size the high-contrast luminous display guarantees a convenient and accurate read-off-possibility for the determined position. The indicator can be set to zero either trough the dust-tight front keypad or trough external signals. This advancement of our mini-position display evaluates incremental length measuring systems, rotary encoders and absolute measuring sys-tems. The new Snap-In allows easy and quick installation in the defined outbreak on the front panel. Applications: The mini- position indicator can be used for instant presentation of measurements, for example back stop adjustment, length and angle or speed measurement.

INDICATE

General: With the 1– axis universal position indicator an all–purpose indicator has been realized. All ELGO measuring systems can be connected with this indicator no matter what signal needs to be processed (incremental or absolute). The indicator also comes equipped with an RS232 interface. The function and parameter menu is clearly laid out. It is clearly structured and easy to use. The new Snap-In mounting allows an easy and quick installation in the defined panel cut out on the front side. Applications: The versatile universal display can be used where and distances, lengths, angles and speeds have to be measured. Position Indicator with 2 programmable presets and Counter function

Series Z57

General: Z57 is a multi programmable preset counter/indicator with two presets, or alternatively one preset (if ordered “SN011”). Z57 is evaluates the input pulses and processes them corresponding to the programmed functions and regis-ters. The result is showen on the 6-digit LED-display and sets the output relays to the programmed behavour. An auxiliary 6-digit display monitors the preset limits in the standard version, switching between preset 1 and preset 2.

Two external inputs are available: 1) Reset/Set 2) Inhibit (counting process interrupted)

Additionally, it is possible to dedicate the reset/set function to the “R”-button located on front panel (programmable). The user can define the operation of the output relays by through different modes. For instance, the relays can be programmed as a pulse signal (0,1...9,9 sec time). The actual status of the outputs can be monitored by a status LED.

Standard Z57 (2 limits/presets) An additional 4-digit LED-display is used for setting the registers and shows the current active preset (H1 or H2).

Z57-SN011 (1 limit/preset) The SN011 Version is simply an alternative version of Z57, with only one limit/preset. But the main functions and regis-ters are still available. The 4-digit display and the numeric keys are not applicable in this version.

General: The position indicator Z58 is based on the proven Z54. The predecessor “Z54” can be replaced with the Z58 for most applications (except some special version). Z58 was developed for processing incremental signals as well as signals from ELGO-Absolute Measuring Systems like FMAX/EMAX. Additionally, a SSI-Interface can be ordered processes other commercial encoders with SSI-output (see type designation). Further an analog input is available for processing signals from analog encoders like linear-potentiometers or tachome-ters. Z58 standard is equipped with a serial RS-232 interface. Two shutter-relay outputs and an analog output are avail-able as an option. The function and parameter menu is clearly structured and simply to handle. Additionally new func-tions and parameter were completed. Additional LEDs indicate the status of relays or other status signals, e.g. activated incremental mode.

General: The series Z60 is a position indicator with graphical LCD display. The Z60 is based upon the approved types Z58 and Z59. The forerunner Z58 and Z59 can be replaced by the Z60, apart from a few special versions. The device Z60 was developed to create an universal indicator, for connection of all ELGO measuring systems, as well as with incremental and also absolute signal output. Optionally an analogue input can be integrated, which enables the entry of analogue measuring systems e.g. linear po-tentiometer or Tachometer. Also a discharge flow-through can be realized. Optionally two analogue outputs (1x current output, 1x pressure output), two closing relay as well as two FET outputs are available). The function- and parameter menu is built up similar to Z58 and Z59, clearly structured and easy to operate.
