MATERIAL PRICE VARIATION CLAUSE FOR INSULATED CABLES
The price quoted/confirmed is based on the input cost of raw materials/components as on the date ofquotation, and the same is deemed to be related to the prices of raw materials as specified in the pricevariation clause given below. In case of any variation in these prices, the price payable shall be subject toadjustment up or down in accordance with the following formulae:
Formula (A) : For aluminium conductor PVC insulated cables.
P = Po+ AIF (AI - Alo) + CCFAI (CC - CCo)
Formula (B) : For aluminium conductor PILC cables.
P = Po+ AIF (AI - Alo) + PbF (Pb - Pbo)

The date of delivery is the date on which the cable is notified as being ready for inspection/despatch (in theabsence of such notification, the date of manufacturer's despatch note is to be considered as the date of
delivery) or the contracted delivery date (including any agreed extention thereto), whichever is earlier.

(c) The details of prices are as under:
1) The price of aluminium (in Rs/MT) is the average ex-works price of EC grade aluminiumrods quoted by the primary producers conforming to specification IS 5484
2) Price of PVC compound (in Rs/MT) is the ex-works price, as quoted by the manufacturerfor their grade CW-22 / HR-11 or its equivalent.
(The relevant type of compound is to be agreed mutually between contracting parties atthe time of quotation / confirmation).
3) Price of CC copper rods (in Rs/MT) is ex-godown / ex-works price as quoted by theprimary producer.
4) Price of pig lead (in Rs/MT) is ex-godown / ex-works price for 99.97% lead as quoted bythe primary producer.
5) Price of galvanised steel strip/steel wire (in Rs/MT) is ex-works price as quoted by themanufacturer for:
(i) size 4 mm x 0.8 mm steel strip OR (ii) size 1.4 mm / 1.6mm diameter G.!. wire.
(The relevant price of steel strip or steel wire is to be selected depending upon the typeof armouring of the cable).
