In the world of professional studio gear, micpres rein king. It is extremely important to get the sound from the artist to some recording medium as clear and clean as possible to capture all the sonic possible to capture all the sonic characteristics as if the listener were there with the artist.

Our project consists of an all analog microphone preamp. It will have a DC power supply unit and a headphone amp for direct monitoring. This will allow precise comparison to current amp for direct monitoring. This will allow precise comparison to current market products.

� Matching the source impedance from the mic with the input impedance of the mic pre, which is where the micinput transformers would come in

� Integrating a regulated DC supply from 120V AC

� Designing a headphone amp for direct monitoring

� Comparison to the market-level products, such as the TI-741 op amp.
