“See a Problem, Solve a Problem means not only having the ability and desire to help others, but the courage to do so as well.”
Michèle Malejki JWOC Microfinance Project Manager
Developing the Microfinance Programme
There have been exciting new developments in JWOC’s Microfinance Programme in 2009. With our new Microfinance team, Michèle and Boret, we look forward to our best year yet for the Microfinance project with more small businesses supported and more positive change possible in the lives of entrepreneurial families. To learn more about our programme and how it is helping to empower families and communities, please visit the microfinance section of our website: www.journeyswithinourcommunity.org/microfinance
How you can help JWOC
One of the things that “See a Problem, Solve a Problem…” means to us, is responding to the needs that we see at the time we see them. As the situation around us changes, we are able to adapt to it, focusing our fundraising and our work in the places they are most needed. In each edition of our newsletter therefore, as well as on our website, we ask our generous donors to respond to our current needs and the current needs of the communities where we work.
As we continue to expand and improve our educational programmes in Cambodia and Laos we are constantly in need of donations for our Free Schools Project.
Our village centered approach to the Clean Water Project means that we now need your donations more than ever so that we can provide new wells, repairs, maintenance, filters and hygiene materials and training as well as making sure that the water is safe through water testing.
For more details on how you can get involved and our latest news and project reports please visit our website:
www.journeyswithinourcommunity.org

Narla visits the USA!
This September saw an incredibly successful fundraising trip where Narla, Andrea and Brandon traveled across the US speaking about JWOC and the work being done in Cambodia. Thank you to all those who hosted parties, get-togethers in JWOC and Narla's honor and for everyone else who set up school visits, Rotary talks and other amazing opportunities for Narla to speak about his experience and the work of JWOC.
