• Stainless Steel grades 304 and 316 belongto the class of austenitic steels
• The figure to the left illustrates the relativeperformance of austenitic steels ascompared to martensitic, ferritic , andcarbon steels
• It can be clearly seen that austenitic gradeshave relatively superior performance

• The corrosion rate of materials increasesas the velocity of water the carryincreases.
• This increase in corrosion rate isparticularly steep in the case of mild steeland copper
• The increase is only marginal in the caseof Stainless Steel
• The use of higher water velocities canhelp to minimize the growth of biofilm.
• This makes Stainless Steel especiallysuitable for water applications.

• Presence of chlorides in soil contributes tocorrosion of pipes.
• Stainless steels are generally quite resistant tocorrosion due to chlorides.
• SS 304 grade is suitable for low to moderatechloride levels (<200 ppm).
• SS 316 grade is suitable for severe and extremelysevere chloride levels (<1000 ppm) like coastalareas.

• Stainless Steel has along a life evenwhen used to carry hot water.
• It is much more resistant to corrosionwhen compared to copper and GI.
• This excellent corrosion andtemperature resistance of stainless steelmake it ideal for water applications.
• Stainless Steel plumbing systems havean expected life of 50-100 years whichis similar to the life of buildings.

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY
Pumping
• SS pipes and fittings have smooth inner walls which reduces the friction on the fluid.• As a result, less power is required to pump the fluid, thus saving both energy and cost
Recyclable• Unlike cement lined and non-metallic pipe, Stainless Steels are easily recycled and
their alloy content is highly valued.
Leaching• The leaching of metallic elements into drinking water while storage and distribution is
at level consistently below those allowed by the regulations.

• SS Surfaces are smooth, hard and homogeneous and it is difficult for bacteria & fungi to make seat for them on itAnti Bacterial & Anti Fungal
• As the surface roughness is very low (only 0.15 to 0.25 micro-metre), the deposits and film are very low and it does not require any chemical cleansersNo Internal Cleaning Required
• Not easily damaged by use in public buildingsStrong Material
• SS Pipes can have as long a life as the building in which they are installedLong life

DOUBLE CRIMPING DOES IT BETTER• We are dedicated to providing the best quality to our
customers
• Single crimping is good but double crimping is better
• It gives extra strength to the joints on either side of theEPDM ring.
• Air contact with EPDM ring is effectively blocked, therebyreducing the ageing process.
• It also provides effective shield to EPDM ring againstthermal expansion and contraction of pipes & fittings.

OUR PIPES: THEY ARE PICKLED!• For ages we have been protecting our food from going bad by
Pickling. Turns out, you can do the same for metals too!
• Pickling is the removal of any high temperature scale and anyadjacent low chromium layer of metal from the surface ofstainless steel by chemical means.
• Welding creates a chromium depleted layer on the surface ofthe steel underneath the oxide layer, which lowers itscorrosion resistance.
• Pickling restores the chromium layer and hence its corrosionresistance and also removes contaminants such as ferrous andferric oxide particles.

ADHERENCE TO BEST QUALITY STANDARDS
Each stainless steel pipe and fitting that you purchasefrom us has gone through rigorous tests to check for:
• Material: A chemical test is performed toguarantee the correct composition of theproduct’s material
• Strength and Manufacturing defects: Hydrotesting is performed to test the product’sstrength and identify leaks (if any)
