Where it livesThe jackal lives in grasslands in Asia, Africa,
southern and eastern Europe.
How it huntsJackals goes hunting when it sees a fierce
animal finish eating an animal.
Its Eating HabitatThe jackal is a carnivore. It eats any animal
smaller than it. They mostly eat dead animals left on the street. That’s why they are sometimes called road cleaners.
It’s weightThe adult jackal is about three feet (one
meter) long including it’s tail. Other jackals weigh 15-24 pounds. They also weigh 7-11 pounds.
Kinds of jackalsThe golden fur jackal is found in Eastern
Europe and North Africa. The black backed and side striped jackal live in southern and eastern Africa.
