Background

-He grew up in New Jersey, and at the age of thirteen he moved to New York.

-At the age of sixteen he dropped out of school and began to paint.

-Once his paintings began to attract the media he was offered a scholarship to the American Artists school.

-At the American Artist school he took an interest in painting with tempera paint on a hard board.
