March Event
The 2011 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be the first parade
event for the JCSC. The parade will take place Saturday,
March 12. If you are interested in entering your car in the pa-
rade please contact one of the JCSC Board members as soon as
possible so we can make the necessary arrangements.
March JCSC Meeting
The March meeting will be held at the Marigold Café and
Bakery, 4605 Centennial Blvd and will begin at 6:00 P.M. If
you would like to see the menu and prices, you may go to
www.marigoldcafeandbakery.com for that information. We
need RSVP information by March 8 so we may make seating
arrangements. Members will be responsible for their own din-
ner checks.
JCSC Calendar of Events
April 19 - The club meeting is scheduled to be held at Jaguar
Colorado Springs. There is currently no event scheduled for
this meeting.
April 23 is the annual JCSC “Spring Cleaning and Pot Luck
Lunch” where, customarily, we scrub and buff our Jaguars so
we can watch the rain bead on the bonnets immediately after
the event. However this year we are holding the event a week
3
Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado
earlier than usual in an attempt to circumvent Mother Nature’s
watering scheme. We will meet at 9:00 A.M. at Jaguar Colora-
do Springs (in the wash bay area) where Mike Beyersdoerfer
will conduct a presentation of Meguiar’s Car Care Products.
Mike will be available during our cleaning session and will join
us for our pot luck lunch. Please contact Don or Larenda or
attend the April 19th JCSC meeting so we can arrange the pot
luck luncheon.
May 17 - The club will tour Jim Verhey’s ReinCARnation Auto
restoration facilities at 3630 North Stone Avenue. The tour
will begin at 6:00 P.M. Details will be finalized at the March
meeting.
Local Events and Attractions
The First Saturdays Car Show will begin it’s second season
starting in May and running through October. The show is the
first Saturday of each month from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. and
is held at First and Main (North Power’s Blvd at South Carefree
Circle) in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods.
JCSC’s involvement in First Saturdays will be discussed at the
March club meeting. We are considering making this a break-
fast event for the club.
Last year our club had a great turnout with lots of beautiful cars
to look over (not just Jaguars, either!) and great weather, too.

CATNIP*
Jaguar North America has a new website available to coincide with the 50th
anniversary of the E-Type and also to help track the stunning response world-
wide of the Jaguar C-X75 Concept Car. The website, ww.interactivejaguar.com
(and it’s sister website, www.interactivelandrover.com) provide ongoing updates
of Jaguar (and Land Rover) news items as they occur.
Information gained from the above website includes
the news that the C-X75 received the Louis Vuitton
Classic Concept Award for 2010 on February 2,
2011 in France.
The 50th Anniversary of the E-Type will be celebrated with a recreation of the
introduction of the original E-Type at the Geneva motor show . This will be fol-
lowed by a celebration of the global unveiling of the E-Type at the New York
Auto Show in April echoing the original U.S. debut.
Other E-Type activities include celebrations at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
in July and the Goodwood Revival in September, and the Old Timer Grand Prix
at the Nurburgring in August. Jaguar will be the featured Marque at the Rolex
Monterey Motorsport Reunion (part of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance)
in August.

JAGUAR TO LAUNCH XKR-S AND CELEBRATE 50
YEARS OF E-TYPE IN GENEVA
MAHWAH, N.J., February 22, 2011 – Jaguar will launch the new Jaguar XKR-S at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1, 2011.
With a higher output supercharged V8 engine, revised suspension, and a new aerodynamically driven design, the Jaguar XKR-
S expresses the company's long held duality of purpose: GT luxury with incredible performance.
European Model Shown
“The XKR-S is a bold and exciting new model for Jaguar,” said Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar’s new Global Brand Director. “We ex-
pect to attract both loyal and new Jaguar driving enthusiasts who still want the comfort, opulence and class only a Jaguar can
offer, combined with inspirational performance.”
European Model Shown
The Jaguar XKR-S produces 550 hp with 502 lb/ft of torque, offers a top speed of 186mph (300km/h),
and can accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds. Full details, images and video of the Jaguar XKR-S
will be released at the Geneva Motor Show press day on March 1, 2011.

In addition to this debut, Jaguar will be marking the 50th anniversary of the E-Type with the first in a series
of celebrations. Jaguar will be hosting an E-Type celebration at the Restaurant Hotel du Parc des Eaux-
Vives in Geneva, where the original car was introduced by the marque’s founder Sir William Lyons half a
century ago.
When launched in 1961, the appeal of E-Type transcended the automotive world. So highly regarded
were its' inherent rightness of proportion, stance, and purity of line, it was installed as an exhibit at the
Museum of Modern Art in New York City. It remains in their permanent collection to this day.
The influence of the E-Type is still apparent in Jaguar’s modern range - products that offer a peerless
blend of performance, comfort, cutting-edge technology and award-winning design.
“It is impossible to overstate the impact the E-Type had,” said Ian Callum, Jaguar Design Director. “Here
was a car that encapsulated the spirit of the revolutionary era it came to symbolize. We’re looking forward
to celebrating achievement and looking forward with our all-new sports cars in Geneva.”
