The Jaguar Express
A.I.B. Newspaper
This idea was born last school year 2014, by a
small group of enthusiastic students. Although,
nothing was published, these students collected
a variety of information about interesting topics.
This school year 2015, we have the pleasure of
presenting AIB’s first newspaper. Enjoy!
Esta idea nació el pasado año escolar 2014,
por un pequeño grupo de estudiantes entusias-
tas. Aunque nada se publicó, estos estudiantes,
continuaron recopilando una variedad de temas
interesantes. Este año escolar 2015, tenemos el
placer de presentar el primer periódico de
AIB. ¡Disfrutenlo!

Este día fue fundado por la Organi-
zación de las Naciones Unidades (ONU)
desde el 22 de marzo de 1993. Entonces
cada año eligen un tema para que la
población entienda la importancia de este
limitado recurso. El tema del año 2015 fue
elsiguiente: “Agua
y desarrollo sos-
tenible.” La meta
fue para ver como

afecta muchas
áreas donde vivi-
mos y como po-

El Día de la Tierra después de muchos años,
es un día para celebrar y discutir cómo prote-
ger el medio ambiente por generaciones. En
más de 140 países hay más de 500 personas
que celebran el Día de la Tierra.

Deadly but Attractive
These attractive plants don’t feed like
regular plants, instead they feed on the flesh of
insects. These plants deceive their prey then
beautifully kill it. Why do they do that?

The West Indian Manatee is mostly
found in costal areas of the United States,
Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and South
Carolina. These gentle creatures are herbi-
vores and they don’t have many predators
to worry about except for the monstrosities
that humans create such as, fishing nets
and the propellers of motor boats. Because
of their gentleness, people can swim with
them and sometimes they even do tricks.

The state of Florida take the protec-
tion of Manatees very seriously so they
have many organizations to help pro-
tect them and make humanity more
aware of them.
El Manatí Antillano se encuentra
sobre todo en las zonas costeras de los
Estados Unidos, en la Florida, Ala-
bama, Georgia y Carolina del Sur. Es-
tas gentiles criaturas son herbívoros y
no tienen muchos depredadores que
preocuparse a excepción de las mons-
truosidades que los humanos crean. Ta-
les como, redes de pesca y las hélices de
los barcos con motor. Debido a su gen-
tileza, se puede nadar con ellos y a
veces incluso hacer trucos. El estado de

“Carolina, La Niña Que Recuperó Todo” Por: Nichole
Había una vez una niña que se llamaba Carolina. Es-
ta niña tuvo que irse de su país. Al principio ella no enten-
dió nada solo que tenía que dejar su escuela, juguetes, ca-
sa, amigas y su familia y tuvo una gran tristeza en su cora-
zón. Llegó a un nuevo lugar y todo era nuevo para ella
hasta que un día recuperó todas las cosas que perdió.
“El Sol Y Los Animales”
Por: Alana Knox Un día el Sol se levantó y los animales jugaron. El
Sol estaba solitario y cada momento cuando el Sol miró a
