Vision of JMCTo cater the growing needs of the city by providing suitable services.
To carry out city renovation and beautification projects like maintenance of heritage
sites, parks, roads, subways, bridges etc.
To provide the best amenities that too in the most proficient manner
Providing waste water management,
collection of garbage on a regular basis from all over the city
To carry out maintenance and development work in the city
To develop recreation centers in different part of the city.
Zones and wards of JMCThere are 91 wards in the Corporation divided into 8 zones of
Moti Dungri Zone comprises wards No. 35, 38, 39, and 44 to 51.
Hawa Mahal East comprises wards No. 49, 52 to 59, and 72 to 73.
Hawa Mahal West comprises wards No. 60 to 62, 64, 65, 70, and 71.
Vidyadhar Nagar comprises wards No. 1 to 10, 15 to 17, and 67 to 69.
Civil Line comprises wards No. 11 to 14, 18 to 22, 41 to 43, and 63.
Sanganer comprises wards No. 30 to 34 ,36, and 37.
Amber comprises wards No. 74 to 77.
Mansarovar comprises wards No. 23 to 29, and 40.

A vehicle tracking system combines the use of automatic vehicle location in individual vehicles with software that collects these fleet data for a comprehensive picture of vehicle locations. Modern vehicle tracking system commonly use GPS technology for locating the vehicle. Vehicle information can be viewed on electronic maps via the Internet or specialized software. Urban public transit authorities are an increasingly common user of vehicle tracking systems, particularly in large cities.
Vehicle Tracking System has been launched by JMC on 16.08.2015 by Honorable Urban Development & Housing Minister Shri Rajpal Singh Shekhawat.
Vehicle Tracking System has been installed at 390 Machines/Vehicles (Loader, Dumper, Tractor etc) of JMC involved in cleanliness of Jaipur city.

The objective of the Smart City is to promote cities that provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean andsustainable environment and application of ‘Smart’ Solutions. The focus is on sustainable and inclusive development and the idea is to look at compact areas, create a replicable model which will act like a light house to other aspiring cities.The core infrastructure elements in a smart city would include:i. adequate water supply,ii. assured electricity supply,iii. sanitation, including solid waste management,iv. efficient urban mobility and public transport,v. affordable housing, especially for the poor,vi. robust IT connectivity and digitalization,vii. good governance, especially e-Governance and citizen participation,viii. sustainable environment,ix. safety and security of citizens, particularly women, children and the elderly, andx. health and education.

Rajasthan has been allotted four cities to nominate under the smart city mission in which Jaipur is one of them.
It is a tourist hot spot and soon Jaipur can claim to be one of India's connected cities under the smart city initiative. The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) intends to setup up a digital infrastructure to strengthen law enforcement, improve waste management. JMC hopes to transition Jaipur into a smart and clean city in phases.
In order to make Jaipur a smart city JMC has invited suggestions and ideas from citizens via three modes :
