James is one of the brightest new talents on Australian Television and was recently awarded the coveted 2008 Swimming Australia Media Award for his coverage of the sport. A sensational accolade for any journalist in an Olympic year. Along with hosting the morning sports break during "Sky News" bulletins, he also presents the daily half hour sports show, "Sportsline" on Sky. James interviewed some of the biggest personalities in sport this year jet-setting to Kuala Lumpur with the Australian Swim team, and then to Beijing as "Sky News" Olympic Reporter. A self-confessed sports nut, James is mad for Rugby League, Rugby Union, AFL, swimming, cricket and anything that's on during the Olympics. And that includes Handball! He studied Journalism at the University of Newcastle where he completed his Bachelor of Communication, and tweaked his on-air presenting skills at the Max Rowley Media Academy in Sydney. He's only in his early 20's, but with 5 years experience in the industry already, James is at the start of a very promising career that will always involve sport, himself, a microphone and a camera.
