This quote is about Prospero; Caliban is speaking and he is cursing Prospero. He is speaking to himself and to the audience.

What is happening at this point in the story? What happened before this quote?

Caliban was sent to collect wood for Prospero, he was late, and he and Prospero got into an argument. Caliban is searching for firewood for firewood on the island in a deserted area.

Why is this quote important?

This quote is important because it shows conflict between Prospero and Caliban, which influnces the plot.

If you have not done it; it is better to ‘study’ rather than frantically finish a review packet you are not putting effort in.

This may be what you turn in!! Do not expect to have ANY time to work on it. Look at your Q & A essay 1st draft and final (my

comments and peers’) for areas you need to improve your writing. Take these into considersation.

Look through the “First Draft Instructions Sheet” (second section) for how to improve it.
