A Tree With Many BranchesPosted by GraceWatcher

The world is filled with individuals. Not simply individual people, but unique

things, experiences, and thoughts. Thus, the idea of achieving oneness, orconnectedness with all things, can seem improbable or even impossible. We aresurrounded by an astounding diversity of perception that might be called distractionson the path to oneness. But oneness does not mean same-ness, nor does it seek tohomogenize the universe. Instead, oneness is an opportunity to see diversity as thepalette of colors from which the universe is painted. It is also a powerful method ofdispelling loneliness, despair, isolation, and the feeling that you are all alone because, when you are one, you are not only in the universe, but also the universe is within you

The cause of so much loneliness and so many feelings of separation is simply that toooften we fail to understand the interrelationship of all living things. Each of us is anindispensable part of the universe and all life has emerged from the same vital energyand material elements. We breath the same air, eat the same food, drink the same wateand traverse the same emotional paths. What blocks our ascendancy into oneness withcreation, what acts as the barrier, is self-importance, the desire to accumulate, egocentricity, and consciousness of the body. Yet common factors unite us all. Wethrive in security, in peace, in times of abundance, and when we accept that all livingthings are dependant on other living things. Oneness is an expression of an ever-

lasting relationship that can awaken and fulfill because comprehending your part ofuniversal unity can free you from the limitations of isolation.

Existence grows upward and outward like a tree, with each of us representingindividual blossoms on humanity's branch, and nature represented by innumerablebranches. We diverge as we grow, but remain parts of a united whole. Achievingoneness means stretching out your consciousness with humility to accept and belovingly accepted by the great stock of diversity which makes up that whole.

WHITE CANDLE SPELL FOR BLESSINGPosted by Whispr

WHITE CANDLE SPELL FOR BLESSINGGet a white candle -- either a plain one (offertory, pillar, or taper) or a figural one in thgender of the person you want to bless. Carve the person's full name on the candle, then dress it with myrrh or frankincense. For more power, you may place a name-papeof the person, or a photo, or some personal item of theirs (such as a bit of hair or asnippet of clothing) either under the candle or next to it. One easy way to do this is toplace the paper or personal concerns under an overturned saucer and put the candle ontop of the saucer. Burn a portion of the candle every day for seven days, pinching it oubetween burnings. As you light it each day, say this"[Name], may you be blessedMay all good things come to youMay nothing whatsoever harm youMay your heart be lightMay your travels be safeMay your health be goodMay your mind be soundMay your friendships sustain youMay you be blessed in every way!"* If you have a special request for this person (such as that they find a lover, get agood job, come home safely from a war, or whatever), just add it to the list.

Some people use a large pillar-type candle and keep it going for longer than sevendays. They may make a habit of burning such a candle every day -- or once a week, onSundays -- for as long as their friend or relative needs help, even doing so for months a time.If the candle is large and it is to be burned in this way, it should be re-dressed withOil once a week: after the initial dressing, you can drop a tiny bit of oil into the "well"or hole in such a large candle just before lighting it each time.Druidic Stone-Blessing RitualThis spell may be used for blessing large stones, such as those placed in your garden o

on your altar. Touch or hold the stone in your hand, saying:

I call upon thee, stone of earth. Formed by fire, sculpted by water, and weathered bywind. Impart the deepest secrets of the earth to me. Teach me how to be silent, how tolisten, how to be strong without force, and how to be firm without anger. Lend me youstrength.

Stones, even though they tend to be less dramatic than fire, swords, or glitteringgoblets, can be very powerful magical tools. Crystals are one type of stone used for

magic and meditation, but see what lessons the humble pebbles, rocks, and bouldershold for ou.

An Air Meditation - CharisPosted by StarFire

As you inhale, imagine that you are breathing in molecules from the air around you and energyfrom the earth below you. You are like a sponge that absorbs all the energetic particles from the earthwhere you sit and the air around you. Feel each molecule absorb into every pore of your skin.

As you exhale, imagine there is a large balloon of light over your head. Breathe out and fill theballoon with all the energy you absorbed on the inhale. The balloon gets larger and larger, andbrighter and brighter above your head.

It is dawn. I find myself in a forest filled with Aspen trees. I raise my eyes and look for the sky, butthe boughs looming overhead hide it from my view. As I look up, feel the cool breeze of spring brushmy face, and hear the sound of the rustling leaves. Blowing, laughing from the east, Eurus bringsthoughts of renewal and life.

I follow the wind further into the soft shadows of the forest, inhaling deeply the strong scent of thetrees. I smell, too, the wafting hints of fragrant incense. I follow where my senses lead me and come ta small clearing circled by burning censers filled with sweet-smelling oils. Toward the east end of thcircle is a staff. I walk over to the place and sit on the ground before it. I take the staff into my handsand close my eyes.

First come swirling colors of white then yellow then fading darker into lavender. Then, out of theswirling fog of colors come dozens of small, lithe figures who swirl around as if carried on the winditself. They dance around my head and body, swirling around as if caught in a dance to unheardmusic. Then, taking my attention from the spirits of the air, I look up to find further figures emerginfrom the mist.

First comes a woman with the beauty of the dawn. As she steps forward, each of the four winds, inturn, hasten from around here and fly, one to each of the four corners of the earth. As she fades, therecomes another whose form seems insubstantial, and seems to constitute both the image of a womanand a cow at the same time. I look closely the attempt to solidify one form, but I cannot. As this imagfades, I am presented with the forms of two women who immediately remind me of the nighttimesky. One glows with the pale light of the full moon, and her eyes hold the fullness of hiddenknowledge. The other, whom also seems to radiate cool starlight, seems to embody the possibilities omany lifetimes.

In due course, these figures too fade and I am left with only the mist of the elemental world of air.Suddenly, three male figures issue from the mist. They seem to be three aspects of one man, but eachattributes differ. The first glows with the light of the moon, seeming to be its protector. The secondand third appear almost identical, except that one has a winged helmet and shoes. As I sit and studythe sameness and difference of the three, they begin to fade, as does the fog.

When the mist clears, I find myself sitting within the circle still clutching the staff in my hands. Iplace the staff once again on the ground and rise. I thank the element of air, and all it is associatedwith for sharing with me its wisdom, and leave the circle.PALLAS ATHENA

    Magickal DancePosted by Whispr

Dance is certainly an ancient ritual practice. It's also a magical act,for physical movement releases energy from the body, the same energyused in magic. This "secret" was discovered early, and so dance wasincorporated into magick and ritual to raise energy , to alterconsciousness or simply to honor the Goddess and God with ritualperformances. **Group dances such as the spiral dance, are oftenperformed in coven workings.

In individual workings, however, you'rebound by no tradition or choreographed steps. Feel free to move in anymanner you wish, no matter how child like or "savage" it may seem Inmagick many Wiccans perform a short spell or ritual manipulations ofsome kind and then perform the real magic: raising and channelingmagical energy. They often move in a increasingly faster clock wisecircle around the altar, either alone or with a coven, watching thecandles flaming on the altar, smelling the incense, overwhelming

themselves with chanting and intense visualization. **When thepractitioner has reached the point of no return, the exact moment whenthe body can raise and channel no more energy, the power is releasedtoward the magical goal. To do this, some Wicca collapse to the ground, signaling the end of what is rather peculiarly called "The Dance."

Dancing is used to raise energy as well as to facilitate attunement withthe Deities of nature. Dance as the wild wind; as the stream rushing

down a mountain, a flame flickering from a lightning struck tree, asgrains of sand bouncing off each other in a gale, as flowers unfoldingtheir brilliance on a sunny summer afternoon. **As you dance, using whatever movements you wish, open yourself to the God and Goddess. **Thinkfor a moment of the whirling dervishes, the untamed Gypsy dances ofEurope, the sensuous belly dancing of the Middle East, and the sacredhula of old Hawaii. Dance is one of the paths to Deity.

In that column, write the color you thought you held. Column three is 'sensations'.Write down your reactions here. The chart below shows how this is to be done.

    COLOR SENSATION CHART

For example, you may feel a color cool and vaguely unpleasant. Write down anythingyou feel even if it does not seem necessarily applicable to a color. Put the previous colo

back with the rest and again close your eyes and shuffle them. Go through the sameprocedure for at least 10 minutes and then check your results.

Do not be disappointed if you do not judge the right color. A close is as good as correc(e.g., if the color was red and you thought it was orange). Examine the sensations. Thered end of the color scale is the hot end; the blue is the cold. Red will stimulate, whileblue will calm.

Let us examine the results of a test conducted on school-going children in England.

They were shown fabrics of different colors and asked to write down their feelingsabout these colors. This was the result:

COLOR SENSATION CHARTColor Sense SensationsRed Red Warm, loveGreen Violet Pleasant, coolBlue Green Cool, treesRed Orange Heat, danger

Red: Danger, anger, fire, love, thirst, meanness, hate

Orange: Woods, autumn, warmth, kindness, fire

Yellow: Summer, sleep, gladness, light, Easter, sickness

Green: Cool, nice, flowers, ocean, picnic, reading, snakes

Blue: Water, cool, laziness, home, frost, lonely

    Indigo: Soft, gentle, sweet, prayers

    Violet: Sadness, church, love, warmth

From this list you may find certain parallels with your own perception. It is interestingto observe one or two seeming contradictions in the list. For example, red stimulatesboth love and hate; yellow both gladness and sickness.

    Traditional associations

In the metaphysical world, colors have certain traditional associations. It is useful toknow these associations for psychic development. These associations are:

Red: Strength, health, vigour, sexual love, danger, charity

Orange: Encouragement, adaptability, stimulation, attraction, plenty, kindness

Yellow: Persuasion, charm, confidence, jealousy, joy, comfort

Green: Finance, fertility, luck, energy, charity, growth

Blue: Tranquillity, understanding, patience, health, truth, devotion, sincerity

Indigo: Changeability, impulsiveness, depression, ambition, dignity

Violet: Tension, power, sadness, piety, sentimentality

    Second exercise

The transitional period between waking and sleeping is the 'hypnogogic' state;between sleeping and waking is the 'hypnopompic' state. Either of these states isexcellent for psychic experimentation.

Take seven colored pieces of material and place each in a separate window envelope, properly sealed. With the windows facing down, mix them up. Before you go to bed, pick one envelope randomly, and place it under your pillow.

As you are on the point of falling asleep, concentrate your thoughts on the envelopeunder the pillow, trying to sense the color inside. There is a simple way to do this. Lieon your back with your arms on your sides, raise one hand and forearm (bent at theelbow) straight up in the air.

As you begin to fall asleep your hand and arm will fall back across you, waking youagain. At that moment, try to sense the color beneath your pillow. Write it down(however roughly and quickly), then go to sleep.

As soon as you wake up in the morning, again write down the color you sense, alongwith any sensations, thoughts or feelings associated with it. The color you sense in thehypnopompic state may well be different from what you sense in the hypnogogic stateDo not worry. List them both. You will need three headings on your recording sheet:'color' (as seen through the envelope's window in the morning); 'hypnogogic' (fallingasleep sensation); and 'hynopompic' (awakening sensation). Put the envelope back witthe others and mix them.

  • 8/13/2019 January 2014 Enchanted Forest Magazine

    14/56

Repeat the experiment the next night, and for a total of 21 nights. From this, as well asseeing how well you are able to pick up the colors, you will know which is the bettertime for you to do your psychic work-evening or morning.

    Third exercise

A simple, yet effective ESP test can be done using 12 playing cards. From a deck ofregular playing cards take out the eight, nine and ten of clubs; eight, nine and ten ofspades; eight, nine and ten of hearts; and the eight, nine and ten of diamonds (these arthe 12 cards bearing the largest number of pips-most useful for differentiating betweered and black, which you are going to do).

Shuffle these 12 cards and then put them, face down, in a row on the table in front ofyou. Now, going from left to right, try to sense whether each card is red or black. Do nconcern yourself with the actual suit or the value.

You may find it helpful to gently lay your fingertips on the back of each card or,

perhaps, to hold the palm of your hand over it. Write down your guesses (senses).

Then turn the cards over and see how correct you are. Shuffle the cards and repeat theexperiment. Always work from left to right.

Do it 10 times, keeping score of your results. Since there are only two possible answersto each guess, expect an average of six correct each run, for chance.

If chance alone is at work, you will have approximately 60 correct in 10 sessions. If,

however, you find you have considerably more than 60 correct (or considerably less),then ESP is at work.

For example, if you have 73 correct, the odds are 20 to one against chance; 78 correct anthe odds are 100 to one against chance. Of course, the more times you go through thisexercise, the more accurate a picture you will get. Here are the odds for various runthroughs:

    Numberof runs ChanceScore Good(20:1 against chance) Excellent(100:1 aginst chance)10 60 73 7820 120 144 15230 180 215 22240 240 286 295

    Fourth exercise

Radiesthesia, the use of a pendulum for metaphysical purposes, can be extremelyeffective. Try this simple exercise.

Cut a strip of white paper or cardboard, approximately 12 inches long and one inchwide.

Color one end of the strip red, about two inches of it will do, and the other end blue.

A two-inch section in the centre should be colored yellow. If you have a pendulum, it fine. If not, making one is easy. Virtually any weight at the end of a string will do. Afavourite is to loop a length of silk ribbon through a ring.

Even a needle at the end of a thread will do. A neck pendant on a fine chain is anotherpossibility. The length of the thread/string/chain should be 7-10 inches.

Hold the chain between the thumb and the forefinger in such a way that, with theelbow resting on the table, the pendulum is suspended just above the table's surface.

(Some radiesthesiatists suggest keeping the arm in the air, with the elbow off the tableResting the elbow is certainly less tiring.)

Use the right hand if right-handed, the left if left-handed. Hold the pendulum so that is suspended over the centre of the red section of your strip of paper as it lies on the

table. Hold the chain still; do not consciously swing the pendulum. Do not grip it tootightly.

Now, concentrate your thoughts on the color red. See a ball of red light at the end of thstrip of paper. See it encompassing the pendulum.

You will soon notice that the pendulum is starting to swing. It will swing more andmore strongly, moving in a circle, clockwise about the red area. When it is swinging well, move your arm across so that the pendulum is now

suspended over the blue end. Now, try to see a blue ball of light encompassing thependulum. You will probably be surprised to find that the pendulum will slow, stop, and start to swing again in the opposite, counterclockwise direction.

As often as you change ends, and color concentrations, so will the pendulum changedirections. If you stop it and then hold it over the centre, and imagine yellow, it willswing backward and forward along the line of the strip of paper.

You will get the same reactions from the pendulum if, instead of simply imagining theappropriate colors, you concentrate your thoughts on those things that are associated

with the colors (see traditional associations).

  • 8/13/2019 January 2014 Enchanted Forest Magazine

    17/56

Over red, think of strength, health and vigour. Over blue, think of tranquillity, understanding, and devotion. Over yellow, envision attraction, charm and confidence.

    Fifth exercise

Psychokinesis (PK) is the movement of material objects without physical contact. Todemonstrate the pressures applied in PK, we can perform a simple exercise using ananimate object a person.

You need a minimum of three persons for this exercise. On one side of the room sits aperson (or group) we will call A. On the other side of the room sits another person (orgroup) we call B. A toss of coin decides which person or group will be red or blue.

For the first run, let us say that A is red and B is blue. Now, bring in the person who habeen outside while the coin was tossed. Have him or her stand in the centre of theroom, at ease, with the legs slightly apart. Let us call this person X.

Groups A and B must now concentrate their thoughts on their respective colors. Witheyes closed, they should see themselves surrounded by red or blue light and should seit extending out to touch X.

If there are several people, so that you have a group rather than individuals, then letone or two of each group concentrate on the traditional associations, rather than on theactual color. What will (or should) happen now is that X will find him/herself beingdrawn towards the red group in this first run, A-and repelled by the blue group.

X probably becomes aware of feelings of warmth and love coming from the red group;coldness from the blue. Do this experiment a number of times, flipping a coin eachtime to determine who will be red or blue. You will find that X will be far morefrequently drawn to red than to blue. Question X after each run and record thereactions.

    Sixth exercise

A simple exercise can be done using a cork ball. Tie a length of thread to a pin and thenpush the pin into the cork ball. Hang the ball so that it is free on all sides. Point yourforefinger at the suspended ball, as close as you can without actually touching it, andconcentrate your thoughts on the color blue.

Feel the blue all about you; see it around and even within your body. Direct it downyour arm and out of your finger. As you direct out the blue, you should see the corkball move away from your finger. Concentrate on red, and the cork ball will swingtowards you, actually hitting the tip of your finger. Experiment with other colors.

  • 8/13/2019 January 2014 Enchanted Forest Magazine

    18/56

    Seventh exercise

Clairaudience is the ability to hear psychically. It may be accompanied by clairvoyancbut not necessarily so. How do we hear colour? Through music. Color and music sharecommon terms. We speak of tone, pitch, intensity and volume, for both arts.

Chromatic is another common word. There is a psychological phenomenon wherebycertain people subconsciously see colors in sounds. This is known as color synesthesia

Color can even be brought about by sound. In Los Angeles Times (December 3, 1948)there was an Associated Press report on a machine known as Auroratone, invented byan Englishman named Cecil Stokes. Musical vibrations were registered on a sensitisedemulsion and photographed by a movie camera.

A different pattern of color was created in the emulsion by each individual note. Whenprojected, accompanied by the music, the result was a glorious series of color patternssubtly changing with the mood of the music. More recently, a color organ has been

    developed by Thomas Douglas Jones.

The Chromaton produces coloured light as it plays. Sir Issac Newton related colours tothe diatonic scale: C = red; D = orange; E = green; G = blue; A = indigo; B = violet.

Slow music is generally associated with the blue end of the scale, and fast music withthe red end. An interesting exercise of clairaudience can be performed using a largeconch shell. We are all familiar with sounds of the sea that can be heard by holdingsuch a shell close to the ear.

Sit comfortably, back straight after doing some breathing exercises, and hold the shellto your ear. You will first hear the familiar rushing sound but, if you concentrate, youmay become aware of a subtle musical background.

Concentrate and try to bring it out. In clairaudience a shell is often used by adeveloping medium to spark the initial contact and to focus the voice(s) being heard. Iyou can also pick up a musical accompaniment, as it were, then you can gleanadditional, useful information based on the tempo and pitch of the music, together

with any repeated, emphasised, individual notes.

This is not easy to do. You might take heart from the fact that some years ago, F.Karwoski and Henry S. Odbert conducted a study with 148 people, testing colorresponse to music. Of these, 60 per cent did get a response of some kind (40 per cent ofthese actually saw colors).

If you get that sort of response then, again refer to the traditional associations. Theseare some simple exercises in psychic development associated with colour. Color can bea useful tool in enhancing our psychic faculties.

  • 8/13/2019 January 2014 Enchanted Forest Magazine

    19/56

Always go through the breathing exercises before any experiment. In fact, it certainlywill not hurt you to do a complete color meditation each time! And rememberpracticmakes perfect.

    COLOR BREATHING EXERCISE

If possible, meditate before an open window. If not, let a white electric incandescentlight shine on you. If you prefer to meditate in low light or darkness, still follow theseinstructions using the white light as a preliminary.

Sit comfortably, relaxing the body as much as possible, without allowing the spine tocurve. Following exercises can help you to loosen tight muscles:

Allow the head to fall forward on the chest. Breathe deeply in and out three times.Return to the upright position. Allow the head to tip fully backward. Breathe deeply inand out three times. Return to the upright position.

Tip the head as far as possible to the left. Breathe in and out three times. Return to theupright position. Tip the head as far as possible to the right. Breathe in and out threetimes. Return to the upright position.

Allow the head to fall forward, then move it in a circle, counterclockwise, three times.Repeat the last exercise, moving the head clockwise three times. Return to the uprightposition. Breathe in slowly and fully, through the right nostril (hold the left one

closed), feeling the stomach balloon out as you do so.

Hold it a moment, then exhale slowly through the mouth, flattening the stomach. Thisexercise removes the stale air from the lungs.Repeat the last exercise, breathing in slowly, through the left nostril, and exhalingthrough the right nostril. Both these exercises need to be done three times.

Now, with your body breathing normally but deeply, concentrate your thoughts till yocan imagine your whole body encased in a globe of white light. Feel the luminous

energy charging your whole body. After a few moments, visualise the light graduallyturning to red. As it turns red, see it acquire a cone shape, the tip directing at yourperineum chakra (Muladhar).

As you continue to breathe deeply, see and feel the red light flow into the perineumarea. When you feel that you have absorbed all that you can, see the all-encompassingglobe of white return. Next, let the white give way to a cone of orange.

  • 8/13/2019 January 2014 Enchanted Forest Magazine

    20/56

The point of the cone is directed at the suprarenal (Swadhisthan). Again, as you breathdeeply, feel the orange light pour down the cone into your whole body. Continueworking through all the chakras, drawing all their respective colours into you. End witthe all-encompassing white light.

If you find it difficult to envision the different colours, set up a chart where you can sethem in front of you. A glance at the chart sets the required colour in your mind. You

will now enter a state of deep meditation. You will experience tremendous peace ofmind.

If you prefer to meditate in dim light, draw the blinds over the window or switch offthe white light. At the end of the meditation period, before returning to the originalstate, imagine yourself encompassed in the globe of white light.

It is recommended that loose clothing be worn during meditationsuch as a CM (colomeditation) robe. We have learnt about the association of colors with the chakras and

the desirability of stimulating these colours/chakras.

This can be accomplished simply by wearing a robe designed for color meditation. Anrefinement in shape can be made to suit your whims, but do not make it tight. Thematerial should be pure white.

In addition, you need a loose head-covering of the same color. This hat should comedown to cover the space between the eyes, where the third eye is located. Roll up thefront portion of the robe and cut large circles (six inches in diameter) to coincide with

    the chakra positions.

Fill in these holes with circles of coloured material (same material as the robe. Prefersilk although linen would do as well). The colours corresponding to the chakracolors/positions are: red for the perineum (Muladhar chakra); orange for the suprarena(Swadhisthan).

The color yellow is for the lyden (Manipura); green for the thymus (Heart/Anahata);blue for the thyroid (Vishuddha). The color indigo for the pineal (Ajna/third eye) (on

the hat point); and violet for the pituitary or crown (Sahasrara).

Do not sew the coloured circles on to the uncut robe. Cut out the white circles first, sothat the colored circles go right through. You can later use the cut white circles as apattern for the colored robe.

An alternative to the circles is to use whole bands of color going right around the robeAvoid wearing anything underneath the CM robe to eliminate any interferencebetween the colors and the body.

A Few Lessons in LIfePosted by Michael Forbus

    Taking a Risk

In order to practice, we have to surrender, we have to take a risk. Otherwise what werdoing is standing back in order to judge, in order to feel superior. Often the obstacle isfear: we dont think well ever succeed. And so wed rather stand apart and be cynical,to feel protected in that way, not having to try....

We need to be able to utilize the positive energy of wondering, of wanting to know thtruth for ourselves and working to do that, and not get lost in cynicism or endlessspeculation.

    - Sharon Salzberg, "Sitting on the Fence," from the Fall 2001 Tricycle.------------------------------------------------

Most of us are afraid of something or of many things; you may be afraid of your wife,of your husband, afraid of losing a job; afraid of not having security in old age, afraidof public opinion - which is the most silly form of fear - afraid of so many things -darkness, death and so on. Now we are going to examine together, not what we areafraid of, but what fear is in itself. We are not talking about the object of fear, but abouthe nature of fear, how fear arises, how you approach it. Is there a motive behind one's

approach to the problem of fear? Obviously one usually has a motive; the motive to gobeyond it, to suppress it, to avoid it, to neglect it; and one has been used to fear for thegreater part of one's life, so one puts up with it. If there is any kind of motive, onecannot see it clearly, cannot come near it. And when one looks at fear, does oneconsider that fear is separate from oneself, as if one was an outsider, looking inside, oran insider looking out? But is fear different from oneself? Obviously not, nor is anger. But through education, through religion, one is made to feel separate from it, so thatone must fight it, must get over it. One never asks if that thing called fear is actuallyseparate from oneself. It is not, and in understanding that, one understands that the

    observer is the observed.

    ~Jiddu Krishnamurti

    Not Seeking

What does it mean "not to seek"? We can just as easily be distracted inwardly as we can outwardly, searching for the next project, the next practice. We can find ourselves digging, searching and trying fix what we feel is broken within us. This is just more distraction from what is true. There is no wherto go, nothing to fix, we just stop, effortlessly being. There is nothing to seek, we are already free.

Understanding OnenessPosted by Rev. Carol A. Ingle (Raven)

    Level of Consciousness

Sometimes, we look at the actions of others and find it difficult tounderstand what motivates them. But we are all doing the best we canwith the information we currently have. We have all been taught how tosee the world from the examples of those around us and by ourexperiences. Keeping this in mind, we can accept the choices made byothers while seeking ways to increase the world's level ofconsciousness as a whole.

Our different levels of consciousness are like the developmental stages of children,

whose understanding varies according to their age and experience. Forexample, the behavior of a two-year-old who doesn't want to share canbe understood as a phase of his social education, whereas a 16-year-oldwho behaves in the same manner would be thought to be acting childish. It is important to remember that we are each on our own unique path. Wemay have chosen certain lessons or made an agreement to play certainroles in the unfolding of the world's understanding before weincarnated in this lifetime. So our job is not to judge others but toshift the balance of understanding in the world by increasing our own.

Every thought we have and action we take becomes part of the collectiveenergy of the planet. When we use our energy to bring light into theworld, it combines with the light brought by others to dispel thedarkness. Though we live in a world of duality, which helps us toexperience the material plane, we don't need to experience extremes tounderstand them. We can share our experiences and understanding withothers not from a place of condescension but of connection. When the

entire family of humanity understands that each of our thoughts, choices, and actions affect us all, we will share an incredible levelof consciousness one that puts our oneness above all else and helps usevolve into higher expressions of our spiritual selves. Remember thenext time you witness an action of another that they are of the sameearth as you but simply on a different conscious level at this point intheir life. Find compassion, bless them, and move along your day ingrace....

    Peace ~ Stevie

    Together againPosted by Sunshine-Chayenna

In all the lives we had together,

we never saw our real connectionIn the love we feel for each otherWe never saw who we really are.

Just in our separation,We become aware of the unconditional love,

    that we shared together.

Just in our separation,We feel the oneness in our self, and in each other.

Just in our separation,All times, spaces, and shapes becomes one.

Just in our separation,We can let go the past, and in the now moment

    Easy Crystal MagickPosted by Whispr

Crystal or stone magick is very simple and inexpensive to perform. Stones andtheir wonderful spirits are all around us. Any of these spells may be cast by using the

ordinary stones that are can be found near your home.Cleaning StonesStones are subjected to a multitude of energies before they arrive in your home. Prior tusing them in magic, it is advised that you perform a cleansing or purification on thestones. However, it is always preferable to listen to your stones/crystals first to "hear" ithey require a cleansing. I personally have 2000+ stones and I think I have cleansedonly a handful. This is a simple process which removes any past influences from the stone, getting itready for your use.

There are a number of different methods of cleansing:1. Place the stones in full sunlight for a day, 3 days, or even a week. Placing them indirect sunlight is the way to go - not behind a window on a ledge. Some stones willclear after a day - some others will take longer. Check the stones daily and sense theenergies by placing them in your receptive hand (left hand if you are right handed -opposite if you are left handed). If the vibrations are regular, the cleansing has beensuccessful. **Important to note that some stones will damage/fade in the sun.2. Bury the stones in the ground for a week or so, then check to see if they have beenpurified. If they have, wash them off and your magic can begin.

    3. Run the stones under running water and wipe off with a white cloth. Check to see ifthey have been purified - if not - repeat the process.4. Another method that is popular is using sea salt, either by mixing the salt with wateand soaking the stone or by rubbing the salt directly onto the stone. Many stones canget damaged by the harshness of salt - if you are not sure whether your stone will beadversely affected by the salt - avoid it altogether. Rule of thumb - the softer the stonethe harsher the damage.5. Place the stones - preferably outside - at the start of a full moon for three nights.6. Lastly - and my method of choice - is to burn sage and pass the stones through thesmoke.Charging StonesMany sources site - before using the stones in magic, they should be "charged" or"programmed" with energy for the specific purpose you need the from the stone. Mypersonal note on this is "programming" is simply wrong. It is as if you are willing thestone to do something against its will - think of it as trying to potty train a cat.Eventually, the cat can be trained, but your relationship with the cat will suffer in theprocess.

"Charging" is a different matter indeed as you are encouraging or awaking the stone tohelp you or someone else with the properties it already possess. By charging, you areasking for a specific kind of help. You are letting the stone know which of its powersyou need the most. It is also wise to ask the stone if it indeed needs a "boost", many donot need the encouragement to help - they share their knowledge and powers willingl"Charging" is simply done by holding the stones in your projective hand (right if righthanded - left if left handed), visualizing your magical need, and pouring energy out

from your body into the stone.Say for instance you have a Moonstone and need to get more sleep at night. Put theMoonstone into your projective hand - visualize yourself sleeping - with that energypouring from you into the stone. Once you can feel the vibrations - you know that thestone has been charged.

Simple Stone Spellstaken from the book "Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem & Metal Magic"

Money And ProsperityNew Year's Stone - At sunrise on the morning of the new year, go outside and find thelargest stone you can carry. Take this back to your house and put it in a place ofprominence. If you keep the stone in your house for a year, it will be one filled withprosperity. Replace the stone every year.LuckOn the Fence - Rise before the Sun on the morning of the Spring Equinox. Find severastones and place them on the fence posts that surround your property, visualizingyourself, your home and life filled with luck.

LoveStone Love - Go to a place that contains many water-worn stones. Look for a large, flatrock while visualizing yourself being involved with the perfect mate.On this rock, mark with red ink two intertwined hearts. As you do this, keepvisualization in mind. When you are finished, bury the stone in the earth in anuncultivated place.ProtectionThe Five Pebbles - Go to a moving brook or stream. While standing in the water andfacing downstream, remove five small pebbles from the stream bed. As you do this,

visualize your need for protection. As your hand closes over the pebbles, see them beaming out protective energies. Just athe pebbles are hard and have weathered for eons, so too will they strengthen yourprotective shield. Now carry them at all times for protection. If you wish, place them in a small pouch orfold of cloth, or incorporate them into some form of jewelry.

Magical IntentionsCarry the stones in your pants pocket or place in a cloth pouch and carry with you.

    Relying on Joy

    Posted by Michael Forbus

At the time of Buddha, there lived an old beggar woman called "Relying on Joy".She used to watch the kings, princes, and people making offerings to Buddha and hisdisciples, and there was nothing she would have liked more than to be able to do thesame. So she went out begging, but at the end of a whole day all she had was one smalcoin. She took it to the oil-merchant to try to buy some oil. He told her that she couldnot possibly buy anything with so little. But when he heard that she wanted it to makean offering to Buddha, he took pity on her and gave her the oil she wanted. She took itto the monastery, where she lit a lamp. She placed it before Buddha, and made thiswish:"I have nothing to offer but this tiny lamp. But through this offering, in the futurmay I be blessed with the lamp of wisdom. May I free all beings from their darkness.May I purify all their obstructions, and lead them to enlightenment."That night the oil in all the other lamps went out. But the beggar woman's lamp wasstill burning at dawn, when Buddha's disciple Maudgalyayana came to collect all thelamps. When he saw that one was still alight, full of oil and with a new wick, hethought,"There's no reason why this lamp should still be burning in the day time," andhe tried to blow it out. But it kept on burning. He tried to snuff it out with his fingers, but it stayed alight. He tried to smother it with his robe, but still it burned on. TheBuddha had been watching all along, and said,"Maudgalyayana, do you want to put outhat lamp? You cannot. You cannot even move it, let alone put it out. If you were topour the water from all ocean over this lamp, it still wouldn't go out. The water in allthe rivers and the lakes of the world could not extinguish it. Why not? Because thislamp was offered with devotion and with purity of heart and mind. And thatmotivation has made it of tremendous benefit." When Buddha had said this, the beggawoman approached him, and he made a prophesy that in the future she would becomea perfect buddha, call "Light of the Lamp."So it is our motivation, good or bad, that determines the fruit of our actions.

Unity and the Divine PlanPosted by GraceWatcher

The achievement of unity on a global level cannot happen until the supreme valueof love is made known to the hearts of people everywhere. This cannot occur as an idea

but must happen as an experience of truth that speaks to the inner knowing, changing person into one who cannot help but be loving because nothing else seems real, andtherefore nothing else is possible. From the place in which we stand today, such aconsciousness may seem far away, and yet it is but a slight movement of extension thatcan allow us as individuals and as a collective humanity to raise our awareness to theplane upon which there is only love, and there is no one who is excluded from it.

Many, today, wish for this to happen, for the idea of 'one world' is balm to the soul. Wewish for it, and we wait for it, and we help to create it in each moment through our

effort to establish the links in thought, word, and deed that such a shift requires. In thilies a great responsibility... For each thought that we think can either forge another linkin the chain that connects us with all others, or it can sever us from life. Each word thatwe speak can either resonate with the vibration of love for all, or it can speak with thevoice of separation and division - a voice that permits certain individuals, groups, orpeoples to be perceived as essentially different from us.

It is not inaccurate to say that the world depends upon each of us, for it does. It dependupon the collective thought process given shape by each individual consciousness, and

it requires that each consciousness be infused by something that is outflowing, generous, and concerned for the whole, in order that humanity finally rise to the placein which love becomes possible.

It may not happen in a day, a month, a year, or even longer, but the new vibration oflove that is sweeping the planet as part of the earth's transition into light shallultimately have the effect of creating a new vision for the heart of humanity. As part ofthat vision, what has held a place as the need to dominate, control, or take from othersrather than sharing with them, will no longer be a viable way of life. It will no longer b

viable because it will no longer make sense in terms of the emerging picture of thehuman family. This vision lies immediately before us and is no longer light-years awayIt is one that God has brought into close-range because it is the earth's time to make thtransition into unified consciousness, and it is time for each inhabitant of the earth tobecome part of a new way of life that shall exceed anything that was thought possiblebefore. This is part of the Divine plan for the emergence of the earth into a sacredplanet, and it is part of the plan for the sanctification of the life of humanity - a life thawill no longer feel separate from its Divine source and origin.

    Children In Ritual

    Posted by Whispr

Unlike many religions, practitioners of Paganism don't have churches. Weunderstand that the Earth is our church and we are our own priests and priestesses. Fomany Pagans, the circle is our temple and our rituals celebrate and strengthen ourrelationships with the Gods and the Earth. Just as Christians take their children tochurch, bringing our children into the magical circle gives them a basis forspirituality that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Rituals are the vehicleby which we pass on our traditions and values. For parents who want to raise their kidin Pagan traditions, including them in rituals is integral, but can be very challenging.

If you are hosting the ritual, you can create a child-friendly ritual that actively involvesthe kids, but attending a ritual hosted by someone else presents a host of otherchallenges. You can't tailor the ritual to meet your needs, but that doesn't necessarilymean that you can't go or can't include your children. First make sure to ask your host you can bring your kids. Next, be realistic about the behavior of children at differentages and level of maturity and think about ways to make the experience a positive onefor everyone.

    Babies

If you plan to take your baby to a ritual, make sure he/she is fed and dry. So long asthese two requirements are met, your baby may remain pretty quiet throughout theritual. Many babies will even fallasleep to chanting. Others will remain awake, fascinated by the sights and sounds of aritual. Don't plan to carry your baby throughout the entire ritual; take some kind ofcarrier or even a stroller.

ToddlersFace the fact that a child under four is most likely not going to just quietly stand there

and watch the ritual. He/she wants to run, play, touch everything, go to the bathroom, and wander about. If you intend to have your toddler in the circle, don't volunteer for part in the ritual. You'll be busy enough because your toddler needs your constantattention. Be prepared to leave the circle if your child becomes fussy or cries. Try not toget too upset or angry and don't try to force him/her to behave within the boundaries othe circle. It's best to leave and avoid bringing any negativity into the circle. Be carefulnot to make the ritual a negative experience for the child, making him/her less willingto participate next time.

  • 8/13/2019 January 2014 Enchanted Forest Magazine

    33/56

Older Children (8-12)By this time, kids will either love or hate ritual. If you child hates it, don't force him/heto participate. You'll only end up strengthening his/her resolve and make everyonefrustrated and angry. Do continue to offer rituals and celebrations on a regular basisand ask your child what would make rituals more enjoyable for him/her. At this age, your child can probably sit still for most of the ritual, but if your child really enjoys itthen encourage his/her participation.

TeensTeens are old enough to know and understand your rules and expectations. If theyattend rituals with you, they should be able to participate as fully as anyone else.

When deciding to take kids to rituals, there are many things to think about. For starterthere are possible legal ramifications. Think carefully about attending ritualsperformed skyclad. Just because achild is taught that nudity is natural and harmless, it doesn't mean that society and the

judicial system will agree. If a small child casually mentions seeing someone's "wee-wee" to a teacher, the parents are likely to get a very unpleasant call. If you're divorcedor getting divorced, take careful steps to avoid accusations that you are engaging yourchild in dangerous and unhealthy activities. You and I know that an athame held toyour chest is a harmless symbolic act, but others may not see it that way.

Be considerate of others in your group. Not everyone understands or even likes kidsand many people have different ideas as to what is appropriate behavior and how mucparental discipline is called for.

One person might see three kids playing in a circle and consider it a beautiful sightwhere children freely express themselves. Someone else might see it as distracting, inappropriate, and a lack ofparenting.

Balancing the desires of parents and communities to involve children in ritual with thneeds of adults who don't want their ritual experience disrupted is very challenging. Bsure to always supervise your child and try to work with others in your group to comeup with good ways to make the experience a positive one for everyone. Suggest ideas t

get children involved, stressing the importance of passingon our traditions to a new generation of Pagans.

    Courage

    Posted by Deraji Snowfox

What is courage? How is it used or obtained? Many think courage is the art ofbeing fearless dispite the odds, no matter the circumstances. Webster defines it as "towithstand danger, fear, or difficulty". In my short life time I have come to beleive thatthese definitions are incorrect. Fear is needed in life to make us careful."withstand..difficulty"? Life is difficult, more for some then others. Does this makeeveryperson alive couragous? "Danger" hahahaha. Ever seen that new show "1000 wayto die"? We are costantly in danger when we drive, eat, sleep, the very air we breath habecome toxic in most parts because of the pollution in it. I think that courage is muchmore difficult to comprehend then this mediocre definition. Courage is every day life.

Courage is acting inspite of fear not being absolved from it. To not have fear isignorance and you are only lying to yourself. courage is going outside dispite thosethousand ways to die, dispite the pollution. Everyone is afaid of something, to fear is tbe human. take each day one step at a time. You have already beaten the odds. whatsone more day? I tell myself that every morning. I got shot at and nicked not to long agoI probably would be dead now if not for the vision i had leading up to the shooting. Isurvived. I beat the odds one more day is a peice of cake.Statistics? everyone says dont become a statistic. how is this accomplished? If youralive you are the whatever percent that lives. work, unemployed theres a statistic for

you! dead, your still a statistic. I guess what I am trying to say is that the world tries toscare us into living in fear and it works but courage is steping up and takeing that nexday on. There is so many reasons not to live and so few to go on but it quality notquanity that counts and I only need one reason, ME!

Appeasing the Kitchen GodPosted by Whispr

The kitchen is the heart of the house. This is where energy and the will of the homeresides. We see this power at every party when all our guests cram themselves into the

kitchen. With the New Year we need to renew our energy by checking our Kitchen FenShui.

The kitchen has power for several reasons. First as the house shelters us the kitchennourishes us, as the house protects us the kitchen creates us, so the kitchen is filledwith life giving energy. And second, the kitchen is the room that naturally has all fiveelements, so it is balanced. There is the element of wood in the cabinets, there is theearth element in the tile or counters, there is metal in the appliances, there is the waterelement in the faucets and fire in the stove. This combination of elements brings us th

building blocks for all qi energy; the energy we need to accomplish what we wish.Because all five elements exist any cure can be placed in the kitchen no matter wherethe kitchen is in the house.

The kitchen is considered a treasure of energy so neither the front door nor the backdoor should directly face the door to the kitchen or else the energy will seep out. This more common in open kitchens. A wind chime or bell hung is between the kitchen anthe front door will stop the energy from leaving the house. And to stop too much ofyour money leaving through a back door, one near the kitchen, place a brass or gold-

colored bowl near the back door. This will catch the money as it tries to leave.

On the whole, however, open kitchens are much more positive than kitchens that areseparate rooms as the energy circulates better in the openness. Also the cook is notisolated from the family. Cooking times can be sharing times; this will build familystrength. If your kitchen is closed off from the family it is wise to place pictures ofyourself where the family gathers, this will connect the family to you even while youare locked away in the kitchen.

In China many homes have a small shrine to the Kitchen God next to the stove. TheKitchen God guards the kitchen, helping food to be cooked well and taste good. Healso listens to arguments, and makes a note of good deeds and mistakes that haveoccurred. On the 23rd day of the twelfth month (January in the Chinese calendar) hetravels to heaven to make his report to the Jade Emperor, the ruler of heaven. Honeyand incense are offered to the Kitchen God to ensure he will make a good report. Hisimage is then burned and he travels up the smoke to heaven. A new image of theKitchen God is then placed in the kitchen for the new year.

    Pow Wow EtiquettePosted by Whispr

Etiquette for Visitors and Newcomers1. Bring your own seating when attending pow wows, because public seating is the execption ratherthan the rule. Lawn chairs are the most common way of solving this.

    2. Do not sit on the benches around the arena. These benches are reserved for the dancers only. Youmay set up your chairs directly behind the benches, and it is usually good courtesy to ask thepermission of the dancer whose bench you are sitting behind, as he/she might have family who aregoing to sit by him or her.

    3. Ask permission before taking pictures of dancers. Many people are sensitive about pictures, so it ialways good to be on the safe side and ask.

    4. Donate money to the Drum. This is done during a blanket dance, when a blanket will be laid out onthe ground and a song or songs will be sung. It is customary to place a dollar bill (or more if you wish

on the blanket and dance the rest of that song, regardless of if you are dressed or not. If you don'twant to dance, you should ask a dancer to place the money on the drum forr you. The drum hasprobably traveled a great distance to give you the beautiful songs you hear, and count on this to helppay their expenses.

    5. Always stand during special songs. This includes Grand Entry, Flag Songs, Veteran Songs,Memorial Songs, Prayer Songs, or any other song that the M.C. designates. It is also customary toremove any hats that you have on for the duration of that song.

    6. Always listen to the M.C. He will give all of the information you need, as well as entertain you andkeep you posted on news. Any questions you have can be answered by him.

    7. Remember you are a guest. Have fun, ask questions and meet people. Everyone there is welcome!Etiquette for DancersClick to enlargedancin' away

    1. Never come to a Pow Wow intoxicated or bring alcohol!

    2. Be on time, dressed and ready to go before Grand Entry. It is a bad habit to not make Grand Entry, and may lose you points if you are contesting!

    3. Place your blanket on the bench you want to sit at ahead of time. Nothing is worse than not havinga seat after the dancing has begun! Never sit on someone else's blanket without their permission.

    4. Dance as many dances as you can. It is in bad taste to dance only a few of the dances. At Formal WaDances, you will not be allowed to take a break until everyone does.

    5. Give respect to the Head Man and Lady. Don't begin dancing until they do, and honor them in theiSpecial with a dollar bill given to them in a handshake.

    39/56

    6. If you wish to honor a person, place a gift at their feet while they are dancing. If you are honored inthis way, dance in place by your gift until the Arena Director or another person picks it up off of theground and gives it to you. Never pick it up yourself.

    7. If you drop some part of your regalia, don't pick it up! Dance in place beside it until the ArenaDirector picks it up for you. You will probably be asked to give something for its return to you. Alldropped articles belong to the Arena Director. When an Eagle feather is dropped, the pow wow isstopped and a ceremony is performed to pick it up. A elder is asked to pick up the feather, and he wikeep the feather.

    8. In a Two Step, it is ladies'choice. If you refuse to dance with the first person who asks you, youmust give her at least five or ten dollars (the M.C. will usually say). The same rule applies to a hat orshawl dance.

Etiquette for the Drum and Singers

    1. Always ask the Head Singer to sit at a drum. Many times drums are closed, meaning that the HeadSinger has chosen who is to sit at the drum. You can not argue with his decision.

    2. Ladies are not allowed to sit in the first row of a drum. They may not strike the drum, but areallowed to sing, sitting behind their husband or the man who asked her to sing.

    3. Know the songs you are to sing. If you ask to be on a drum, the Head Singer must asssume that youcan sing all the songs he knows. Be prepared.

    4. Any gift given to the drum is first given to the Head Singer. It is his job to then divide up the gift tthe rest of the drum as he sees fit.

    5. Never sing too loud or overbeat. Mistakes such as these are forgiven with a monetary contributionto the Head Singer.

    6. Everything goes around the drum in one direction, depending on the tribe the drum belongs to. Donot pass things over the drum.

    7. Always sing your best. Enjoy yourself, and know that without the drum, there is no Pow Wow.

Giveawayspicture of giveawaySince the days before the arrival of Europeans, Native Americans have had a senof generosity that is unique among all cultures. Since that time, this generosity has developed into thgiveaway, a ceremony where a person, family or organization is honored and in return gives away

many gifts to their friends and the staff of pow wows. This begins with a special song sung by thedrum for the particular person or people honored, usually a family song that was composed for thatfamily. The person or people and their friends then slowly dance around the circle, and people inattendance who feel so moved are allowed to give the people a small gift and then join the"procession." This will usually continue for about one or two songs, when the dance will end and thepeople return to their seats. The person or people honored will go to the Emcee's table and have aperson speak for them, who tells about the honored party and then announces the names of peoplewhom they in turn would like to show their appreciation to. When a person's name is called, he or shstands and walks around the arena to the Emcee's table and receives a gift, which is often a very nicePendelton blanket or a food basket of some sort. It is always customary in a giveaway to always honothe head staff and the drum, and then honor those who have helped you. All in all, a give away can

last fom twenty to forty minutes. http://library.thinkquest.org/3081/rules.html

How to Get in Touch with a Plant SpiritPosted by Whispr

1.If possible, grow the plant yourself. This will give you direct physical contact with it

regularly before attempting spiritual contact.2.If the plant is edible, add it to your diet regularly for an entire week before trying tomake contact. This internalizes the plant's energy and creates an inner harmony withthat plant's matrix, which will ultimately improve your results.3.Sensually experience the plant--touch it, smell it, listen to the sound it makes in thewind or rain, and look at it from different angles (above, below, and from all sides).Again, it is suggested that you do this for an entire week before attempting to makecontact.4.Bring the plant into your life in as many ways as possible, like wearing its pattern in

tie or shirt, hanging a picture of it near your desk, burning incense in its aroma, and soforth.5.When you feel ready, meditate with the plant nearby. Try to make sure you won't bedisturbed for at least twenty minutes.6.As you meditate, breathe deeply and wait until you feel "transported," maybe a littlefuzzy around the edges of your being (some people describe this as tingling or hearinga far-off humming sound).7.Now, visualize yourself in an environment in which that plant would naturally growSee yourself sitting in the middle of a circle of these flowers or plants. Allow this

visualization to become as real as possible, bringing to memory the smell of the plant, its texture, and everything else you learned about it in the previous steps.8.Reach out spiritually toward the plant. Don't open our physical eyes, open yourpsychic ones. Be patient and wait, making mental notes of any imagery or feelings fromthis point forward.Plant spirits will generallycommunicate empathically or through your senses, so bealert.Once you have established a rapport with the plant, let it know the purpose of yourvisit quickly and respectfully.

How the plant communicates with you will be very personal and based on thequestions you have in mind.At some point the plant will withdraw, signaling that it is time for you to go back to "normal" level of awareness. No experience will be the same, even with the same type of plant or flower. One lilyconversation will not be the same as the next lily.Harvesting a magickal plant or timing your use of greenery in a spell, ritual, or charmby the moon

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT COMMITMENTPosted by Rui pedro Calado Filipe

We suggest that you make a one hundred percent commitment, whatever course youchoose, to open to your own healing power. You do not have to believe that you will bsuccessful in eliminating your disease. You cannot know that in advance anyway, but

that is not part of the commitment, which is simply to open to your healing power, andfinding out what it does. Until you have the experience, it is all theory. Knowing thatsomeone else healed himself of a so-called fatal disease does you no good unless youfind out for yourself if that is possible for you. How do you open to your healingpower? Make the commitment one hundred percent, and you will be guided. There armany techniques you can use, but techniques alone do not do the job. It is your intentto heal that is central. You will not have the intent if you do not first have thecommitment.

We are not suggesting that you try to do more than you can do and overexert yourself. There are many things you can do to support your healing, and you should doeverything you can. But your commitment is not to doing, primarily, but to opening toyour healing power, which you can let happen all the time. Out of that commitmentyou will naturally choose those techniques that will best support what your healingpower is working on at any given time.

When you cut your finger and it heals, how does that happen? Does the bandage youput on it heal it? How about the antiseptic--does that heal it? Who heals your finger?

You do. Your healing power heals your finger, although the bandage and antisepticmay support that healing. Support your healing in any way you can that feels right toyou. If you listen in your heart, you will know the best way for you to do that at anygiven time. You can meditate, visualize, do affirmations, and pay attention to yourbreathing. You can improve your nutrition so that your healing power has some moreraw materials. You can receive ozone therapy, acupuncture, and other holistic therapieYou can receive additional healing energy through energetic healers using techniquessuch as Reiki and Johrei. You can work with a therapist to explore and release yourblocks. You can use crystals to cleanse your atmosphere and promote conducive

vibrations. Healing your body is your full-time "job" at this time. However, you do notneed to try to do everything, because it is not fundamentally a matter of techniques; it a matter of opening to your healing energy in everything you do.

The reason your body is not healed now is that various things have distracted you from

concentrating on your own healing energy--your pain, your fears, and so forth. That is

understandable, but it is in your best interests to learn to concentrate on receiving you

healing energy, even while you are undergoing medical treatment.

Almost everyone has a part of himself that would rather die than accept fullresponsibility for living.

A strong desire to live, even if it is unconscious and is somewhat interfered with by thconscious mind, can keep a person's body alive when it otherwise would not survive. Afully conscious commitment to living is all the stronger.

You cannot expect to reach a high level of spiritual attainment overnight, but you canfirmly plant yourself on the path. Struggling, trying too hard, judging yourself aboutnot being where you want to be, or "fighting your way to the top," as they say, do notaid inner attainment; on the contrary, they get in the way. However, full commitment inecessary.

Your primary responsibility is not first and foremost to do anything. It is to be, to bethe healing source you are. It is easy to be. It is sometimes hard to do, especially whenthe doing does not spring from being.

See yourself as a person who is taking primary responsibility for healing himself, someone whose healing power is always flowing. For instance, when you feel pain inyour arm, think of yourself as someone who is healing his arm. The opposite of that isfeeling like a helpless victim, which, of course, detracts from healing.

    SILENCE

    Posted by Kate

    Listening To The Void

All sounds, from a whisper to a classical symphony, arise out of silence and disappearinto silence. But silence is always there beneath sound and is the space where soundcan exist. We tend to think of silence as the absence of sound, but silence has its ownweight and quality. When you listen to silence, you can perceive its intense depth andpower. Taking the time to experience silence calms the mind and rejuvenates the bodySilence is the void where we can hear the many sounds that we often ignore - the voiceof our intuition telling us the truth, the sound of the breeze blowing, the hum of the

radiator, and the noises we make just because we are alive.

One way to experience silence is to wake up before the rest of the world has come alivTry not to move into activity, and leave off the lights, radio, and television. Sit still andsimply listen. You may hear your heartbeat or your breath, but keep your attentiontuned to the silence that surrounds you. Stay this way for as long as you can, and allowthe sound of silence to penetrate your body until it moves into your core. Feel thegentle, pulsing waves of silence and allow it to cleanse you. Five minutes ofcommuning with silence can leave you feeling vibrant and connected to the universe.

At night, choose a moment after everyone around you has retired and tune in to silencYou can also experience silence throughout the day. Even in the midst of activity, moments of silence are always present. Usually we ignore or feel nervous aroundsilence and try to fill these moments with sound. Yet silence is always there - vast, potent, and available for us to step into any time we choose.

Intent- The base of all actionsPosted by haw

    Intent

No matter the path your on this is what I observe and pay attention to.. although i donot promote use of spells or other means in a negative pretense. will just break down

the intent thing to help better understand..This is not about Dark or light, many use the balance dark and light giving reason andexcuse for bad things to happen.. which they do.. but not to be provoked by any humaintentionaly.

This is why I go with the basic intent.there are many ways it is shown, in caring, providing, suggestive or imposed, to when becomes excessive as to pursuay, push, direct you against your own intuition ofthought.

I call these intents.. 2 different catagories.

    1. Progressive positive2. Digressive negative.

Progressive positive promotes positive response and action and continues forward is nstaying stuck in mud over a situation that utilize tempting a competitive ego. to be outdone by another..

Digressive negative is the intent to push, control a situation of a person to your ownpreference and liking and what one thinks. not by what the person themselves feel thewant or need.many run into this with judgemental people family or friends.. they seem to knowwhats best for you and can talk to you like your an idiot.. but is their ignorance inunderstanding , so dont let them get under your skin.. they just wont or will notunderstand your point of view for which most of the paths do not fit the conformedway of presence or being.
