• Most vendors in the HRMS landscape today only offer their solution as a SaaS deployment. 55% of HRMS deployments were a SaaS deployment in 2015.
• This appeals to HR people because it doesn’t require IT to be very involved in managing the solution.
• SaaS Allows you to conserve capital upfront. You’ll be spending money on the solution as an operating expense vs. capital expense.

• An typical monthly SaaS cost is $13 PEPM for a company with less than 1,000 employees.
• If you have 850 employees, this is $11,050 a month or $132,600 a year.
• Most SaaS vendors require a 3 year commitment. This is a minimum of $397,800 and usually doesn’t include implementation or training. When you add this, you will spend $550,000 over 3 years.
• If you decide to leave after 3 years, you are left without a solution.
• This is great for the SaaS vendor, but may not be for you.

• You’ll need IT’s assistance with pulling data from the existing system and developing interfaces to/from your HRMS, at minimum.
• Once live, assistance will be from your SaaS vendor, not your IT department. Calling outside help may be frustrating for the HR and Payroll departments.
