Following a successful appearance at the2019 International Council of Airshows (ICAS),the Great Pacific Airshow is pleased toannounce that the F-16 Viper DemonstrationTeam will join the U.S. Air ForceThunderbirds at the fifth annual PacificAirshow taking place Sept. 18 – 20, 2020.“It is a great honor to continue to attract
incredible military and civilian performers,and we are delighted to share that the F-16Viper Demo Team will join the Thunderbirdsfor another weekend of thrilling aerobatics,family-fun and patriotism in 2020,” saidAirshow Director Kevin Elliott.The dazzling Airshow that launched four
years ago was seen by more than 3 millionpeople in 2019 and has become a key fallevent in the community of Huntington Beachand throughout Southern California.During the week-long ICAS event, the
Thunderbirds announced that once againThe Great Pacific Airshow was named theUnited States Air Force Thunderbirds 2019civilian show site of the year.The Thunderbirds began recognizing
outstanding show sites in 2009, and allmembers of the squadron – 12 officers and120 enlisted - vote on the award given to theshow sites that best help the Thunderbirdsachieve their goal of inspiring and recruitingfuture Air men and women.“The recognition as civilian show site of
the year by the Thunderbirds is a humblinghonor for the Pacific Airshow team,volunteers, supports and entire community,”added Elliott. “We’ve seen the communitycome together like never before during theAirshow and this has not gone unnoticed by
the Thunderbirds.”
2020 Pacific Airshow PerformersThe Air Combat Command F-16 Viper
Demonstration Team is a single-ship thatperforms precision aerial maneuvers todemonstrate the distinctive capabilities of oneof the Air Force’s principal multi-role fighters,the F-16 Fighting Falcon.The Thunderbirds and F-16 Viper Demo
Team will be joined by the United StatesArmy Parachute Team known as the GoldenKnights and making his debut at the PacificAirshow will be Adam Baker, whose colorfulExtra 330 dazzles with gyroscopic freestylemaneuvers. Returning to the Pacific Airshowwill be fan-favorites Jeff Boerboon and thecustom-built Yak110, Lucas Oil Airshows’ MikeWiskus, Greg Colyer flying with the AceMaker T33 multi-ship demo team, the RedBull Air Force including Kirby Chamblissflying his Edge 540 and Aaron Fitzgeraldwho will once again turn his MBB B0-105helicopter upside down.Stay tuned for the announcement of
additional performers.The 2020 show will return with even
greater activations including an expandedfestival area at Pier Plaza, enhancedupgraded viewing experiences, corporatechalets, front-row RV camping and manyother exciting additions.There are many ways for the community
