We will learn about the features fiction books ( made up using imagination ) and non-fiction books ( information books, real facts) and read the story of ‘Harry and his Bucket Full of Dinosaurs’. We will read the story, discuss the characters, events and setting of the story, then we will pause and predict what might happen next. We will think about the events and answer WHO? WHY?/ HOW? /WHEN? questions in full sentences. In Maths this week we will continue learning about ‘solid’ 3D shapes: cone and pyramid. We will also be learning about length and height. We will be comparing the length and height of different objects/ dinosaurs using non-standard units like cubes, links, hands & feet to measure. Key words will be long, short, tall, tallest, shortest, longest. This week we will be revisiting all the sounds we learned so far and practice reading and writing green and red words.
