Susannah Cowart, Susannah Cowart, Director of Customer Relations
Susannah joined Hometown in April 2013 as Customer Relations Coordinator for the Florida Division. A native of Tifton, Georgia, she attended Abraham Baldwin College and continued to Brenau Women’s College in Gainesville, Georgia. Serving in a critical access hospital for 8 years, Susannah has diverse healthcare experience in materials management, marketing and community relations. Susannah and her husband, Jake, currently reside in Lake Placid, Florida.
Susannah Cowart
Kerry has over 30 years in the health care industry, and over 25 specifically working in post-acute. She worked for national rehabilitation chains in varied roles and in hospital leadership positions. Kerry has experience with start-up units/facilities, programs beginning Medicare services, ongoing management of hospital business office operations, IRF units, skilled facility operations, and in 100-day turn around programs centered on cost reduction, cost avoidance and revenue enhancement.
As a consultant, Kerry has worked with swing beds (CAH and PPS), skilled nursing units, freestanding and hospital-owned long term care facilities. She has served as an educator for hospital and LTC associations, hospital associations and for CAH associations in the areas of corporate compliance, Medicare compliance, medical necessity documentation, therapy services, and coding/billing. She is the primary SNF/Swing Bed consultant for multiple rural health state associations and a presenter at other state and rural health associations annually.
Her international work includes projects in Russia (training and starting the first nursing home services), China (teaching graduate students on western post-acute services and training on western inpatient rehabilitation); volunteering with an orphanage in Bolivia; teaching on outpatient surgery (National Health Services, England); Home Health (European Health Conference, Spain); presentations on Chinese Health in a Poster Session and a Free Theme Session at the 36th World Hospital Congress (Brazil); and study projects in Italy, Cuba, and Canada.
Kerry Dunning
Tara McAdoo
Tara McAdoo, MSM is a Director at HSAG where she leads Florida initiatives that impact the medical practices, acute care and critical access hospitals.
She has lead quality improvement initiatives in Oregon, Georgia, and North Carolina QIO and has 16 years of practice administration, electronic health record technology implementation /training, and PQRS quality data reporting support.
Throughout her career she has fostered great awareness to the needs of the physician and other providers in primary care and specialty practices. Her consultative expertise involves streamlining practice operations workflows, HIT optimization, building and sustaining community partnerships, implementing strategies to improving care delivery, coordination, and chronic disease prevention through awareness campaigns and education.
Sandy SageSandy Sage RN joined the HomeTown Health Team full time in November 2016 as our Revenue Analyst. She works closely with member hospitals assisting them in implementing best practice revenue cycle processes. She provides hospital staff education, in person and through webinars, related to all areas of the revenue cycle with special focus on Patient Access and the Business Office. She has previously worked as a consultant for revenue cycle process development and chargemaster compliance.
Sandy has been an instructor for HomeTown Health University for over 10 years and continues to write courses for HTHU. She is involved in grant programs, functioning as the Georgia and Florida Team Lead for the Small Hospital Improvement Program grant and she developed the Rev Up Your Revenue Cycle program for our hospitals. She has a clinical background in nursing and has worked primarily in rural hospitals throughout her career. In 2000 she transitioned from clinical nursing to the financial side of the hospital and has worked as a Revenue Cycle Analyst since that time.
Sandy is a native of California and moved to Georgia at age 12. She has two grown daughters and currently resides in Cochran, Georgia.
Dale Gibson started his own Medicare consulting business in 1997, and is now well-known among HomeTown Health’s network as the “Medicare Expert”. Dale began his healthcare care in 1980 as a Business Office Manager for a large hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL that was part of Humana.
He briefly worked for HHL in Miami Florida in 1989, before returning to Humana as a Corporate Consultant for Business Offices. In 1993, he became a Medicare Consultant through a merger with HCA. Dale completed his B.S. from Troy State University. He resides in Pensacola, Florida.

Evelyn Leadbetter
Evelyn Leadbetter, MPA, joined the HomeTownHealth team in December, 2014. Evelyn completed her Bachelors in Business Administration at the University of North Georgia in her hometown of Dahlonega, Georgia, as well as her Masters in Public Administration and Disaster Management at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her experience in healthcare, emergency preparedness, technical support and community service has enabled her to better serve as the Network Services Manager for HomeTown Health and HomeTown Health University.
