eHealth week 2014: Greece working with ECHAlliance for eHealth Forum Following eHealth week in Dublin in May 2013, Greece has announced plans for the eHealth
Forum to be held under the Greek Presidency in May 2014.
In a press release it recognised the introduction of the concept of "eHealth ecosystems" by
the Irish Presidency, stating that it presents a true challenge for the further development of
meaningful partnerships through the engagement of the entire range of health, wellbeing and
social care stakeholders, from both the private and the public sector. It announced that it
will be working jointly with ECHAlliance to facilitate industry engagement.
At the Invitation of the Greek Government the ECHAlliance visited Athens in July and have
actively worked with the Public Health Agency in preparations for the EHealth Forum to be
held in May 2014 in Athens under the Hellenic Presidency.
The first meeting of the Greek Permanent Ecosystem was held in Athens on 3rd October and
has become the latest member of the International Network.
