After 4 years at the Mons Royal Conservatory (Belgium) where she studied flute, she started her professional activities both on flute and Japanese Flute, giving concerts either on one of them or combining both in Japanese programs and events. On the Japanese flute, she made appearances in important festival and event such as the Midi-Minimes Festival, Ars Musica, Museum of Muscial Intruments, at the International Exposition "Japonisme" at the Town Hall of Brussels (Salle Gothique) as well as in France and in Luxemburg. Programs that she is proposing are varied and includes Traditional Japanese Music, Contemporary Music or arrangements for Japanese Flute and (Western) Flute. She also made the World Premiere of works written by composers such as David Loeb (Mannes College professor - USA). Nozomi Kanda also gives regular workshops on Japanse music and Japanese flute. Recital flute - piano This duo offers a directory combining classical music with a part of Japanese music. The classical repertoire, especially on 20th century music or French moderne music. This repertoire is complemented by traditional melodies for shinobue of flute and piano. Solo pieces written for shinobue solo or popular inspirational pieces, as well as works by classical Japanese composers.

Recital Shinobue / flute - Koto This duo offers a Japanese classical music to contemporary Japanese classical music with traditional style to contemporary style with solo pieces written for shinobue or flute, and for koto by classical Japanese composers.
This duo can collaborate with other instruments, like shakuhachi (Japanese flute) , shamisen (Japanese guitar), taiko (Japanese percussions) or other European instruments and also with contemporary composers for the new compositions.

This project is cleverly led by guitarist Hideaki Tsuji and its purpose is revisit traditional music, folksongs, classic, and even children's songs.
With a very personal approach, this project digs into the roots of Japanese culture and with a special sensitivity, is enhanced by the creative force of these exceptional musicians.
Alongside Hideaki Tsuji, flutist Nozomi Kanda and Koto player Mieko Miyazaki, all leading an outstanding international career, they share this discovery of new
musical adventures, not hesitating to explore unknown areas.
Shinonome with Hidéaki Tsuji, Guitar - Shamisen Shinonome started in 2013 with a rich and varied musical background by musicians having respective careers throughout Europe and Asia. Formed for the flute - guitar formation, Shinonome also explores traditional Japanese original works performed by flute and guitar but also traditional Japanese instruments, shamisen and shinobue that are part of their repertoire. Their "Japanese music repertory are from traditional music to contemporary. This duo is also open to contemporary composers for the new compositions.
