Lionel Benjamin Topland Group During 29 years’ experience within the hospitality industry, Lionel has held senior management roles with major international hotel operating companies. His experience includes positions in both the operational and property side of the hotel industry, with a track record in deal origination and acquisition, increasing operational hotel EBITDA and subsequent value generation. Lionel heads Topland’s hotel activity, spearheading the firm’s plans to build a £1.5 billion hotel business and supporting Topland’s structured finance team on lending to the sector. Since joining Topland in 2013, he has driven expansion of Topland’s owned and operated portfolio having acquired twenty eight hotels, taking the overall portfolio to thirty eight hotels across the UK, including hotels leased to Hilton and Thistle. Topland’s recent phase of activity, has been the expansion of The Hallmark brand of hotels to encompass the 28 owned and operated assets, and most recently a JV to build a 221 bedroom Holiday Inn Express adjacent to Event City by Manchester’s Trafford Centre. Prior to joining Topland, Lionel was Head of the Hotel & Leisure Division at The Ability Group. Lionel worked with Hilton Worldwide, The Savoy Group, and Hyatt. Lionel was awarded as an Honorary Professor in Hospitality Management from the University of West London and has undertaken further Hospitality Industry studies at Cornell University.

Cody Bradshaw Starwood Capital Europe Cody Bradshaw is a Managing Director at Starwood Capital Group and Head of European Hotels. In this role, he oversees the firm’s hospitality acquisition and asset management activities across Europe. His portfolio responsibilities extend to numerous major lodging investments totaling over $3 billion in asset value. This includes Starwood’s recent launch of The Principal Hotel Company, a leading UK hotel platform comprised of nearly 40 hotels and 6,000 rooms, following the firm’s acquisition and subsequent merger of three UK hotel companies in 2014. His previous responsibilities included SCG’s ownership of Louvre Hotels, one of the largest hotel chains in Europe, comprised of over 1,000 hotels across more than 40 countries. Prior to joining Starwood Capital, Cody was one of the first employees at Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) where he served as Vice President of Acquisitions during the twelve-month period in which the newly-formed “blind pool” REIT deployed over $1 billion of capital through the acquisition of over 20 major lodging assets. Prior to Pebblebrook, he was the first employee of the Chartres Lodging Group where he played an integral role in growing the firm over a seven year period into what at the time was comprised of five offices across the U.S. and Japan and a 20,000-room, $6 billion portfolio of lodging assets. He began his career at Hyatt Development Corporation after graduating from Cornell University. Cody co-created the Certified Hotel Asset Manager ("CHAM") professional designation program which launched in 2012. He co-founded and currently serves as President of the European Chapter of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association ("HAMA") and is an active participant on the International Hotel Investment Council (“IHIC”).

Coley Brenan KSL Capital Partners LLP Coley Brenan, Partner, KSL Capital Partners. Mr. Brenan runs the European office for KSL Capital Partners, based in London. KSL is a leading private equity firm with $7.0 billion of equity capital commitments raised since 2005 and a 20-year track record of making investments exclusively in travel and leisure businesses. James E. Burba BHN Jim Burba is the Co-Founder of Burba Hotel Network LLC (BHN), the worldwide leader in developing and producing conferences for the hotel and tourism investment community. BHN hosts ten events each year around the world including: ALIS, ALIS Law, ALIS Summer Update, AOCAP, HICAP, HICAP UPDATE, HIFI, CHRIS, HOLA, and Hot.E. Shane Casserly Dalata Hotel Group Plc Shane joined the Group from Ion Equity in February 2014. He joined Ion in 2007 from Jurys Doyle Hotel Group where he was primarily responsible for the acquisition and development of new sites for Jurys Inn in the UK, taking over as Head of Development in 2006. Prior to this he had held a number of senior positions within Microsoft Europe. Within Ion Equity he worked closely with Topaz Energy, Ireland’s largest fuel retailer, on network development. Since joining the Group, Shane has managed the overall acquisition and development strategy, resulting in the company securing over €1.0 billion of hotel assets; highlights include the Clayton Burlington Road operating lease, the acquisition of the Clarion Ireland operating business, the acquisition of nine Moran Bewley hotels and the development of five new hotels in Ireland and the UK. Shane is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a Commerce graduate from University College Cork.

Puneet Chhatwal Steigenberger Hotels AG Puneet Chhatwal is the Chief Executive Officer of Steigenberger Hotels AG, one of Europe’s leading hotel companies. Steigenberger Hotels AG encompasses more than 125 hotels in 17 different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The umbrella brand “Deutsche Hospitality” includes the brands “Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts”, “Jaz in the City”, “IntercityHotel” and three cruise ships which operate in Egypt. Puneet joined Deutsche Hospitality from The Rezidor Hotel Group in November 2012, where he served at last as the Chief Development Officer and as a member of the Executive Committee. Puneet started his career as a Management Trainee with the India Tourism Development Corporation, continued to study at ESSEC, France, where he earned a Master’s Degree in International Hospitality Management to complement his previous bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi and his diploma in Food Service and Hotel Management from IHM, Pusa. Jean-Philippe Chomette Algonquin SA Jean-Philippe Chomette, 52, is the Founder & Chief Investment Officer of Algonquin SA which he founded in 1998. Algonquin is an investor and operator of hotel properties through subsidiaries, investment funds and joint ventures that it creates with institutional investors, private equity funds, family offices and HNWI across Europe. Algonquin’s portfolio of owned properties currently comprises 40 hotels in six European countries, totalling more than 7,200 rooms in the up-scale segment, including 16 directly-operated hotels (1,700 rooms). Prior to founding Algonquin, Mr. Chomette worked in Investment and Finance at Banque Paribas and Everest Capital Limited in North America. He studied at ESSEC Business School of which he graduated in 1986 and lives in London.

Paola Colarossi Baker McKenzie Paola Colarossi (L.U.I.S.S. - Rome - JD cum laude- 1995) is a corporate, M&A and private equity lawyer with a particular focus on Real Estate & Hotel & Resorts transactional work. In particular, she counsels clients on HRT franchise and management agreements and ancillary contractual documents. Paola is a Partner at Baker & McKenzie in Milan. She is co-author of a book on the law governing the criminal liability of corporations (“La Responsabilità degli Enti – Commento Articolo per Articolo al D.Lgs. 8 giugno 2001 n. 231”).

Charles de Ros Wallace Geskaria Investments A senior corporate finance and real estate professional with strong record of achievement generating growth and investment opportunities. In 2011 he founded and acts as CEO of Geskaria Investments, where he supervises all the business aspects of the company and deals. Charles had previously worked for 15 years in International Banking, having the responsibility of developing and managing 9 branches and their business in Miami, Havana, Santo Domingo, México DF, London, Geneva, Casablanca, Warsaw and Shanghai. He participated actively in originating over 1 billion USD in hospitality, infrastructure and real estate deals and projects worldwide. At this time he was also Board member of a multinational water services company (Spain and Colombia). After this project, he was promoted to launching and developing a New Real Estate Sales and Servicing company for the bank. When leaving the bank, the company employed 170 people and sold over 11.000 homes in 24 months. According to financial newspapers, The start up company was informally valued in 2012 in over 600 million Euros and is called Solvia. Mr. De Ros Wallace has a law degree, Masters in international Commerce and has done postgraduate degrees and courses in IESE Business School and Instituto de Empresa. With reference to the Iberian market, Geskaria Investments advises international hospitality companies with a strategy in entering the Spanish and Italian market. On the finance side, he supervises hospitality M&A deals within the company.

Jean Jacques Dessors AccorHotels Jean-Jacques Dessors, 54, holds degrees from École Hôtelière de Toulouse and Université de Toulouse. He worked in various positions in France and internationally before joining Compagnie Générale d’Hôtellerie et des Services, a Vivendi Group subsidiary, as Director of Operations Westin Demeure Hotels and Libertel, in 1992. Jean-Jacques moved to Accor in 1999 as Director of Business & Leisure Operations, Paris Ile de France. In 2002, he joined the United Kingdom and Ireland teams as Managing Director Economy Hotels and then went on to become Chief Operating Officer United Kingdom & Ireland in 2005. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer Africa, Middle-East, Indian Ocean and Caribbean in 2012. He joined the Group’s Executive Committee in 2013 as CEO HotelServices Mediterranean, Middle-East and Africa. In 2017 he becomes CEO HotelServices Europe (excl. France and Switzerland).

Steffen Robert Doyle Credit Suisse Steffen is a Managing Director and he is Co-Head of EMEA Real Estate based in London, with more than 17 years’ experience in investment banking. Steffen’s industry knowledge and transaction experience in Real Estate cover all sub-sectors, public and private, in the lodging, gaming and leisure sectors, as well as industry specialized financial sponsors and fund managers. Steffen has acted as an adviser on many prominent transactions for a diverse range of clients in Europe and the US involving M&A, debt and equity capital raising. Prior to this job, he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of their European Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming team at Jefferies International from 2002 and 2011. Steffen also worked in the European Real Estate Investment Banking team at Bank of America (BofA) for 12 years, latterly BAML. Miroslav Dragicevic Horwath HTL Miroslav Dragicevic founded Horwath Consulting Zagreb in 1993. During the past 24 years, he has established Horwath HTL Zagreb as the leading private consulting firm in Southeast Europe specialized in tourism, hotel, and leisure industries and expanded the operations of that office to the Central Eastern European regions. M. Dragicevic was carrying out numerous tourism and hotel development projects in more than 30 countries with emphasis in an emerging South-East Europe and CIS countries. Strategic plans of building the management capacity for tourism and tourist region in many countries constitute special references of Horwath HTL. Mr. Dragičević, PhD regularly participates in numerous international events of the hotel and tourism industry where he gained a reputation as one of the relevant global consultants in this field. He is also member of ISHC (International Society of Hospitality Consultants), where during the period from 2011 to 2013 he held the position of a member of the Executive Board of this leading international association.

Thomas Dubaere AccorHotels UK Thomas Dubaere is the COO HotelServices for AccorHotels UK & Ireland. He has lead AccorHotels UK since 2012 and since its organisation into two complementary businesses in 2014, took responsibility of the Hotel Services arm of AccorHotels UK and Ireland, the hotel operator and brand franchisor. He also sits on the British Hospitality Association (BHA) Board of Directors. Thomas Dubaere has worked for AccorHotels for over 23 years and before his current role held the position of SVP Budget Brands AccorHotels UK & Ireland. During this time he played a key role in the expansion of AccorHotels budget brands network and helped develop the ibis ‘megabrand’ which revolutionised its budget segment into three strong brands; ibis budget, ibis and ibis Styles. Dubaere began his career with AccorHotels in Belgium in 1990 at the Novotel Bruges Centre and held several General Manager Positions, before being appointed Delegate Director Economy Brands (ibis, Etap & F1) Belgium in 2004, and then Director of Operations Economy Brands Belgium and Luxembourg in 2005. Thomas Dubaere is a graduate of the Brussels Hotel School and has a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Leuven. Dubaere lives in London, UK.

Peter Ebertz Art-Invest Real Estate Peter is Managing Director and Head of Hotels at Art-Invest Real Estate, based in Cologne, Germany. Since 2012, he is responsible for all hotel activities of the Art-Invest group, where he built up a hotel portfolio of 25 hotels with a total investment volume of more than 700 Mio. EUR. Peter leads a dedicated hotel team of 10 hotel investment specialists with expertise in investment, development, asset management and technical services, that focus on enhancing the asset value through repositioning, re-branding and refurbishment activities. References include the Steigenberger Hotel Bad Homburg, Le Meridien Frankfurt, Sofitel Hamburg, the Nikko Hotel in Düsseldorf as well as the recently opened Ruby Hotel in Munich. Peter has over 13 years of experience in the hotel sector. Before joining Art-Invest, he worked in hotel management, strategic business development and investment banking. At Ebertz & Partner Real Estate he was responsible for a hotel portfolio with a volume of approx. € 1.5 billion, spread over approx. 50 hotels. Peter studied economics and holds a phd at the University of Münster.

Habib Enayetullah Hilton Worldwide Habib Enayetullah brings over 20 years of real estate and infrastructure investment experience. He is currently Senior Vice-President for Real Estate and Asset Management for Hilton Worldwide where he leads the organisation’s asset management and real estate team. This includes a significant portfolio of leased, owned and JV hotels in EMEA, Asia and the Americas. The group’s responsibilities include restructuring of leases and JVs, asset dispositions and workouts as well as oversight of capital spending. Prior to joining Hilton, Habib held a variety of senior investment roles for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Sunstone Hotel Investors, and the Bechtel Group in the Americas, Asia and Europe. Habib has an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MPA from Columbia University and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. Habib and his wife Tania, who have two children aged 10 (Aymaan) and 16 (Amani), are currently based in McLean, Virginia.

Christian Giraud AccorHotels Christian Giraud is a Graduate of the ESC-Marseille Business School and holds a “Banking & Finance DESS” Degree from the University in Lyon. From 1993 to 1998, he operated in the corporate banking division in Germany and France for Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank. In 1998 he started his career in investment banking at the Paribas Bank Group in Frankfurt as Head of the French-German office. As of 2000 Christian could get a deep experience in consulting as the Cofounder of the German subsidiary of the British Group bfinance (shareholders: GE Capital and Carlyle). In 2005 Christian joined the Accor Group in Germany. He started as Director of Treasury, Asset Management and Insurance and was in charge of the restructuration of about 100 hotels. From 2009 to 2015 Christian headed the Hotel Development Department … first in Germany, than Austria and Eastern Europe. Since 2016 he is in charge as SVP Development Europe for the development in about 30 countries, in which AccorHotels opens in average more than 100 hotels per year.

Nevis Glussi Rosewood Hotel Group Nevius Glussi is Senior Corporate Director of Development at Rosewood Hotel Group, focusing on key markets throughout Europe for the development of the ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts brand. Based in London since 2016, Nevius spent four years working for the company in Asia-Pacific before relocating to the British Capital. David Goodger Oxford Economics David Goodger leads Oxford Economics’ tourism analysis and forecasting across EMEA region as director of the Tourism Economics division. He has been instrumental in developing Oxford Economics’ suite of tourism forecast models and continues to manage regular updates of these. Models cover 185 countries and 300 cities with a focus on tourism demand and travel flows as well as hotel performance. Sarah J. Green Hilton Sarah joined Hilton in 2016 as a Development Director and focuses on developing Hilton brands across the UK & Ireland. Prior to joining Hilton Sarah spent 12 years in corporate banking specialising in hotel finance and in particular development finance. Aaron Greenman Interstate Hotels Aaron Greenman, based in Brussels, Belgium, is Interstate Hotels & Resorts’ executive vice president of acquisitions and development for Europe, responsible for growing the portfolio of managed hotels for all European regions including Russia/CIS. Aaron joined Interstate in fall 2007 as head of development in India, in addition to his responsibilities as COO with the company’s joint venture partner there. In 2010, he was promoted to senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Europe, working closely with his European colleagues to build on the company’s platform in the region. At the time, Interstate had 10 hotels throughout Europe and presence in several countries. During his tenure, Interstate has added approximately 100 management agreements in Europe, and today the company has nearly 80 hotels and over 12,000 rooms under management, in addition to 12 hotels in the pipeline, making Europe one of Interstate’s fastest growing regions. Prior to joining Interstate, Aaron was managing director for AFEX Group in Nairobi, Kenya, responsible for a company with 600 employees with operations throughout East Africa, and earlier was a senior manager in Ernst and Young LLP’s real estate advisory services practice, based in Boston, New York and Miami. He earned a Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College.

Bruno Haid Roam Co-Living Bruno is founder and CEO of Roam. He grew up in hospitality, in a tiny Austrian village, built a couple of startups and led large-scale projects for corporates like McKinsey, BMW or Swarovski. He’s also a founding tenant of co-living spaces on 3 continents and writes something about housing and hospitality on Medium approximately every decade, but wants to get better at it. Isabell Hajdukiewicz Ruby Hotels & Resorts GMBH Isabell Hajdukiewicz, Group Director Development, is responsible for the expansion of Ruby Hotels across Europe and heading the Development Team at Ruby. With her influence Ruby has successfully established a strong pipeline of 10 secured hotels across Germany and Austria within the last four years. Before joining Ruby in 2013 she completed her Masters degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Munich with a focus on hotel development and subsequently worked at the beginning of her career for the European market leader Accor Hotels on the expansion of branch hotels in Germany.

Jan Hazelton Three Points Advisory Ms. Hazelton is a seasoned hotel investment and development executive with broad experience across multiple markets. Erik Jacobs HORECA Investment Partners Erik has recently founded HORECA Investment Partners, an investment platform exclusively representing a family conglomerate based in Asia. HORECA targets investments into the hospitality and real estate sectors, ranging from asset level investments (on a sole basis or through joint-venture agreements) to corporate investments into companies that have strong growth potential. Erik has a strong mix of experience in both the principal investment arena as well as in the transaction advisory space. Most recently Erik was responsible for European Capital Markets at JLL Hospitality Group. Prior to JLL, Erik was responsible for European hotel investments at Invesco Real Estate. At Invesco Erik executed various hotel transactions throughout Europe. This covered a large variety of investment ranging from very institutional leases to operationally geared portfolios, from corporate investments in hotel companies to loan investments with hotels as collateral. Prior to Invesco Erik was responsible for hotel transactions and asset management at Morgan Stanley for the opportunistic Morgan Stanley Real Estate funds.

Russell Kett HVS             Russell Kett is Chairman of the London office of HVS, the leading global specialist hotel valuation, consulting, asset management and brokerage firm which was founded in 1980. After hotel school, Russell joined Strand Hotels as an internal auditor, then assistant financial controller of London’s Cumberland Hotel. Daniel E. Simon Lehmann Phocuswright, Inc Simon was previously the CEO of Biketec AG, the producer of the FLYER E-bikes located in Huttwil, and CEO of Interhome, the European market leader in placing more than 32,000 vacation apartments, vacation homes and chalets in 29 countries. Mr. Lehmann's past experience also includes deputy CEO of the Hotelplan-Gruppe in 2012, where he was responsible for the Travel Related & Online Services Division (including Interhome and the online travel agency travel.ch). Over the years, Lehmann made a name for himself beyond the Swiss borders as an online expert of the travel industry in general, but especially in the vacation rental industry. Martin Löcker UBM Development AG DI Martin Löcker was born in Leoben, Austria, in March 1976. He graduated in industrial engineering and construction from the Technical University in Graz, Austria, in 2000, before gaining a postgraduate qualification in real estate economics at the European Business School in Munich, Germany, in 2005. He joined the PORR Group and its subsidiary UBM AG in 2001. Here he was responsible for projects in Austria, France and Germany and since 2007 he has held management positions at UBM AG and its subsidiary Münchner Grund. He has been a member of the Managing Board since 1 March 2009. In his capacity as a member of the Managing Board Martin Löcker is responsible for Development and Technology in the German, Poland and Czech markets as well as for hotel management.

Majid Mangalji Westmont Hospitality Group Majid Mangalji is Founder and President of Westmont Hospitality Group, which started its hospitality business approximately 40 years ago. He has been involved in all aspects of the development of the Westmont Group. During this period, it has grown from a single hotel to become one of the largest private hotel owner/operators in the world with a significant presence in North America, Europe and Asia. Ramsey Mankarious Cedar Capital Partners Mr. Mankarious founder and CEO of Cedar Capital Partners. Since it’s formation in July 2004 the firm has acquired, on behalf of its institutional investors, hotel assets with a value in excess of $800 million. Prior to founding the company, Mr Mankarious was Executive VP of Acquisitions & Development for Kingdom Holdings in London. Kingdom, which is owned by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, is a major investor in the tourism industry with significant holdings in both hotel real estate and management companies (Four Seasons, Fairmont and Mövenpick). In his position, Mr. Mankarious was responsible for the company's European hotel investment activities. Prior to this he was responsible for the firm's hotel investment and asset management activities within the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Mr. Mankarious was previously with HVS International, a leading hotel valuation and consulting firm, in London and New York. During his time at HVS, Mr. Mankarious worked throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the United States. Mr. Mankarious received an MA in Property Valuation and Law from City University Business School in London and holds a BA in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Michigan State University, USA.

Christopher Martin HVS Hodges Ward Elliott Chris Martin is a Senior Director of HVS Hodges Ward Elliott, and has almost 20 years of specialist hotel brokerage experience gained in Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region. He joined the firm in 2009 from Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, with whom he spent ten years in Asia and Europe, specialising in hotel brokerage. As well as negotiating the sale of numerous major hotels, including several portfolio disposals, Chris also has extensive experience in hotel operator selections, lease and management agreement negotiations and the sale of hotel development projects.

Mark has been based in the UAE for the past 6 years and is responsible for business development in the EMEA region for Al Marjan Island (AMI) in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. AMI is a Government entity and functions as a Master Developer in the Emirate. They are responsible for such projects as Al Marjan Island, a collection of 4 man-made island covering 2.7 million square meters of residential, hospitality and mixed-used plots.

Nadra Moussalem Colony Capital LLC Nadra Moussalem is Executive Director and Head of Colony NorthStar Europe, having previously held the position of Executive Director and Head of Europe for Colony Capital, the predecessor to Colony NorthStar. Nadra Moussalem Mr. Moussalem is involved in many facets of Colony NorthStar in Europe, including business strategy, product development and global client relations. With €7.7bn of Gross Asset Under Management in the European Portfolio, Mr Moussalem is also responsible of monitoring European Investments out of six offices (Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin, Rome and Luxembourg). Prior to joining Colony NorthStar in 2000, Mr Moussalem worked for AXA in the Financial Products engineering department. Since 2014 Mr Moussalem has served on the board of directors of Carmila. Robert Nadler Nadler Hotels Robert doesn’t come from a hotel background. He’s worked in a variety of industries, from qualifying as a chartered surveyor, smoking fish, policing the Soho streets, founding two research companies, and as CEO of a public company. In 2006, Robert developed and opened his first hotel, the 65 room base2stay Kensington, now renamed The Nadler Kensington. This move into the hotel industry was inspired by his personal experiences as a guest, and a view that sustainability was an increasingly important aspect of every business. Since opening The Nadler Kensington, Robert has opened a further three hotels. The 106 room Nadler Liverpool was developed and opened in 2010, followed in June 2013 by The Nadler Soho with 78 rooms, and the most recent, The Nadler Victoria, by Buckingham Palace, 73 rooms, opened at the end of 2015. At the beginning of 2016, a new freehold site was purchased for The Nadler Covent Garden, and the first management agreement for a hotel in Manchester has been signed, adding a further two hotels to the growing Nadler Hotels group.

Tina Norden Conran and Partners Tina is an interior designer and architect with a diverse portfolio stretching across many contexts and continents, from hotel and restaurant design to high-end residential. She began working in Asia over 18 years ago and has been involved with many iconic projects such as Hotel Icon, Mandarin Oriental, PMQ, Roppongi Hills and Futako Tamagawa. Tina is currently working on two new Park Hyatt hotel projects in Jakarta and Auckland, for MNC Land and Fu Wah Group respectively, as well as several boutique hotels across Europe and a selection of confidential hospitality projects in Hong Kong. Tina studied architecture at Westminster before joining Conran and Partners in 1997, completing her MA in Architecture & Interiors at the Royal College of Art in 2000.

Christopher J. Pfohl Pyramid Hotel Group Acquisition for Bentley Forbes Hospitality Group. Chris was responsible for the start-up of a new hospitality division with the goal of acquiring, developing, operating and asset managing four- and five-star hotel projects. In addition, Chris has held senior-level positions for Hilton, InterContinental, and DoubleTree Hotels, including oversight of managed development for Hilton Worldwide. Previously, Chris purchased, owned, and operated a DoubleTree hotel in Wilmington, DE. He has also held several hotel operational and management positions including Regional Vice President and General Manager of 15 hotels with Winegardner Hammons and the Beacon Hotel Corporation.

Ryan Prince Realstar Group Principal of the Realstar Group. Realstar is a property investment and management firm focused on the hospitality, residential and alternative property sectors with over $6 billion of assets under management. Since the establishment of its London office in 2002, Realstar has owned over 73 Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels across the UK, 17 GP surgeries and over 1,000 residential rental and student apartments. Prior to Realstar, aged 21, Ryan co‐founded iGabriel Ltd, an early stage venture capital firm with investors such as Lord Myners, Peter Gabriel and Harvey Goldsmith. Ryan is also Chairman of the UK advisory board of Facing History & Ourselves (www.facinghistory.org), a not‐for‐profit organisation focused on inspiring students through the lens of history to take an active role in society and learn critical reasoning skills resulting in moral and ethical decisions. Ryan was born in Toronto, Canada and attended Upper Canada College, the University of Western Ontario and the London School of Economics.

Dillip Rajakarier Minor Hotels Dillip Rajakarier is CEO of Minor Hotels (MH), a subsidiary of Minor International (MINT) and COO for MINT. Rajakarier joined MH in 2007 as Chief Finance & Investment Officer and was promoted to COO in 2008. In 2011 he was promoted to CEO. Sem Schuurkes CityHub Sem is co-founder of CityHub. During his final year in university, Sem and his business partner Pieter recognized that current hotels and hostels did not fulfil their needs. As outsiders to the industry their “fresh” view on hospitality allowed them to come up with creative solutions. Sem is responsible for concept and IT development and represents the creative element of CityHub. After running a pilot in Sems own apartment, the first location of CityHub opened its door in 2015. The hotel for digital natives gained a lot of attention and won the award for best innovative hotel concept at the World Wide Hospitality Awards in Paris.

Dominic Seely Westmont Hospitality Mr. Seely is responsible for acquisitions in Europe. Westmont, founded in 1975, has been active in Europe since 1996 and has acquired, owned, and operated more than 350 hotels across twelve countries. What started with a single hotel in North America, has grown to become one of the largest privately-held hospitality organisations in the world with a presence across three continents. Westmont has a diversified portfolio ranging from budget and aparthotels to mid-market business and large conference hotels to boutique and luxury hotels. Prior to Westmont, Mr. Seely ran his own hospitality investment advisory firm called Townhouse Capital that acted for a dozen different institutional and private investors as well as advising governments on FDI in the tourism sector. He has also held senior executive positions at Kharafi Group, the Kuwaiti conglomerate, and Stein Group, the pan-European luxury lifestyle hotel owner operator. Before the hotel industry, he worked in tech VC and investment banking with Kleinwort Benson. He is a regular speaker at various investment forums including, but not limited to, IHIF Hot.E, GRI, and Hoftel.

Dominic Seyrling Host Hotels Ltd. Dominic Seyrling, Vice President Investments is a member of the team at Host Hotels Ltd. in London since 2010 and is responsible for Host’s acquisition and disposition activities in the European region. Since Dominic joined, Host Hotels established the follow-on fund with its European joint venture partners GIC and APG in 2011 with €450 million of equity capital and undertook about €850m of acquisitions and €600m of dispositions. Host’s European JV portfolio currently comprises 10 hotels with approximately 3,900 rooms across 7 countries with an aggregate market valuation of circa €1.7bn. The most recent investment is the Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade. Host acts as the general managing partner and asset manager for the joint venture. Dominic comes from a hotel background in Austria where his family owned and operated a hotel and a restaurant in the Austrian Alps. Prior to joining Host, Dominic worked for four years at Jones Lang LaSalle’s Hotel Capital Markets teams in London and New York. He holds a bachelor of science from Lausanne Hotel School and graduated with distinction from London Business School where he obtained a Master in Finance in 2014.

Billy Skelli-Cohen Global Holdings Billy is responsible for the Global hotel business of Global Holdings which includes Mondrian London at Sea Containers, Ace London, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Soho House Development in Amsterdam and a recent acquisition in Washington DC.  

Desmond Taljaard London & Regional Desmond is MD – Hotels for London & Regional, responsible for Acquisitions and Asset Management. He recently led the acquisition of Atlas Hotels, a portfolio of 47 select service hotels in GB. He served from 2006-2012 as COO, Europe for Starwood Capital, leading the acquisitions for Golden Tulip Group, Principal Hayley and Shoreditch Crowne Plaza, including its conversion to an ACE hotel. Desmond also served as Director Development Whitbread, SVP Real Estate at Hilton International and property Director at Sainsbury’s. Desmond is an Economics graduate of LSE, and a Chartered Accountant.

Rod F. Taylor TGA Limited Up until 2008, Rod Taylor was a career corporate banker. Previous appointments included being Head of Hotel Finance, U K & Western Europe for Barclays Bank and then Head of Hotel Finance, Europe, Middle East and North Africa for Europe Arab Bank. In early 2009 Rod established his hotel consultancy, Taylor Global Advisors Limited. This coincided with the 2008/2012 recession and the core strategy behind the company was to assist hotel owners and their lenders facing challenging financial situations. TGA sought to bring a fresh pair of eyes and a problem-solving mentality, resulting in fair and equitable solutions. In addition to the above, Rod has also during the last 8 years been invited to join the board of directors of several hotel groups, often in a situation where a quick win solution was not possible and longer term solutions were required. Successful outcomes in respect of challenged situations were delivered in respect of aAIM Lagonda, Four Pillars Hotels Group and the Lords Hotels Group. Rod was also Chief Restructuring Officer for Cedar Court Hotels Group, Non-Executive Chairman of Surya Hotels Group and for 8 years a non-executive director of the highly respected and hugely successful Firmdale Hotels Group. Amongst other things, TGA are currently providing strategic advice in respect of two separate, 4* full service hotel developments in Central London and to an expansive family owned group manufacturing and retailing consumer durables.

Ulf Templin PKF hotelexperts GmbH Ulf Templin is one of the managing partners of PKF hotelexperts GmbH based in Munich. The main consulting activities of Ulf Templin lie in the search and selection of hotel operators as well as the economic consultancy with regard to the conclusion of an operator contract (lease-, management-, franchise- and licence contracts.)
