JAZZ DIVISION The Music for all Summer Symposium Jazz Band curriculum allows students to participate in an immersive big band experience, while taking master classes/lessons with world renowned jazz artists. Classes include Jazz Improvisation, Jazz History, Jazz Arranging, and plenty of jam sessions!

Students come away from camp with much more insight into the music, the art of performing and the art of experiencing jazz! Students meet and get to know others from across the country who share their love of music-making and jazz especially. Each jazz ensemble performs in concert at the end of the week for fellow campers, family and friends on the final Saturday.

“Everyone knows you are going to have an incredible time at the Music for All Summer Symposium this summer! The teachers of the Jazz division that work with you on a daily basis the most important element of why you should choose to go to a camp, and ours is are world-class!” – Mark Buselli, Symposium Jazz Coordinator

2018 Jazz Faculty Will Include: Mark Buselli – Symposium Jazz Coordinator; Director of Jazz Studies, Ball State University Dr. Scott Belck – Director of Jazz Studies, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music; Trumpet Jeff Rupert – Director of Jazz Studies,University of Central Florida; Saxophone Dr. Jen Siukola – Jazz Trumpet Instructor, Ball State UniversityFreddie Mendoza – Professor of Jazz Trombone, Ball State University Dr. Luke Gillespie – Professor of Jazz Piano, Indiana University Jeremy Allen – Professor of Jazz Bass, Indiana University Sammy K – Freelance musician, Los Angeles CA; Drums

I loved the overall atmosphere, enthusiasm, and passion for jazz music.

Having a full week allowed faculty & campers to get to know each other & be comfortable in this group setting!

Meeting new people from all over the nation was an eye opening experience.
