Be the first team to reach 20 points on your dial!
Before the first turn of the game, everyone chooses a song to sing together as a warm-up, and all teams score 1 point.
Each team has one Share It token to use once per game. Any time during the game, the judges of that turn can discard their token to challenge one of the performing players to share their performance on social media. If the player agrees, that player scores 3 points for their team. Be sure to tag pictures and video with #CarpoolKaraokeGame.
Choose your preferred method for playing songs (music app, streaming service, etc).
Place the Dashboard and the Challenge cards within easy reach. Set the team (city) dials on the Dashboard to 0.
Separate the players into teams (cities). There must be at least 3 teams, and the number of players on each team should be as even as possible. A team can be just 1 player.
Give each team their matching Share It token. Return any unused tokens to the box.
The player whose birthday is next will take the first turn as the lead performer for their team.
You are the lead performer. Choose a song you like to sing and get it ready to play.
Draw a Challenge card. Lie the Dashboard flat and spin the spinner to select a Challenge Category at random.
Note: If you receive a "Sing It" or "Work It" challenge you are unfamiliar with, you may select another card.
Read the Challenge out loud and choose another team to duel. If there are multiple players on that team, they decide together which player will go head-to-head against you.
Both players alternate performing the Challenge (see Challenge Categories). Performing players can decide how much of the song they want to sing or perform. Players who aren't on the same team as either performer are the judges for the turn.
After the Challenge, move the winning team's dial to keep track of their points. Discard any cards you drew this turn.
Play passes clockwise to the next team. The team decides together which player will take the next turn as the lead performer.

Challenge CategoriesS I N G I T Dueling players perform the song in the style listed on the card. At the end of the performance, the judges vote for their favorite. The winning player scores 4 points for their team. If there's a tie, the lead performer scores.
W O R K I T Dueling players perform the song and incorporate the theatrics listed on the card. At the end of the performance, the judges vote for their favorite. The winning player scores 3 points for their team. If there's a tie, the lead performer scores.
G U E S S I T This category does not require a song. Save your selected song for another round. Have a judge read the question and multiple choice answers aloud. Both dueling players try to be the first player to guess the correct answer. The first player to guess the answer correctly gains 2 points for their team.
OPTIONAL: If you spin SING IT or WORK IT but are not in a singing mood, you can instead choose to perform the GUESS IT challenge—but remember it's only worth 2 points.
R O C K I T The lead performer doesn't choose a team to duel. Instead, everyone performs the song together, and all teams in the game score 1 point.
P L A Y I N G I N T H E C A R
Just like the Carpool Karaoke show, this game can be played in the car. If the driver participates, they should be on a team with another player who can select songs, draw and read cards, and spin for them. The driver must focus on driving safely!
The game ends when a team reaches 20 points. That team is the winner!
Ending the Game
Each category challenges your skills in impersonation, theatrics, or Carpool Karaoke trivia. The more difficult the category, the more points you can earn.
