Starting her career at just 19 years old, Jennifer Day Morrison was signed to RCA/BNA records under her country artist name “Jennifer Day” by president, Joe Galante, and A&R representative, Renee Bell. Bell describes Jennifer as “…one of the most incredible singers we’ve heard in so long. The way she interprets songs at her age! That, to me, is the difference between a singer and an artist - to be an incredible interpreter and to make you feel every word that’s sung.” Not only was Jennifer signed to a major label because of her unique voice, but was also recognized for her ability to write her own music. Day co-wrote her first single, “The Fun Of Your Love”, with hit songwriters Beth Nielsen Chapman and Annie Roboff and shortly after was signed to a co-publishing deal with Almo/Irving Music (now Universal Music Group). That single debuted as a top 40 Billboard charting single and was featured in the Kevin Costner film, “For the Love of the Game”. Her follow up single, “Completely”, was released in the adult contemporary market and can be heard in the Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd film, “Where The Heart Is”. Having a major record deal brought many opportunities her way. Jennifer toured all across the nation performing live for radio, television, charity events and festivals. She held the spotlight in the Orange Bowl parade bringing in the new millennium for Sunglass Hut, an honor shared by Britney Spears. She was one of three Maytag sponsored artists where alongside Sarah Evans and Kenny Chesney she performed a five city tour and greeted fans in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also recorded a Coca- Cola jingle that was released nationally. With a passion for music and a drive for sharing her music through a multitude of mediums, Jennifer grew to become a skilled programmer, producer and voice over talent. She has worked on several artists’ records as a vocalist and programmer. Also, because of her diverse set of musical skills, she soon found herself writing, producing, singing and recording voice overs for Mattel (Polly Pocket, My Scene and Monster High). “I simply love everything about music, from it’s creation to it’s completion. Seeing the joy music brings to people is really what it’s all about.,” explains Jennifer.
