Jerry's latest CD - "Jerry Linger|Jazz Guitar" displays his grasp on a various range of jazz

styles. Jerry has an entertainment career spanning over thirty years. He has been a Big

Band Leader, an orchestra conductor, an orchestral musician, and a jazz and contempo-

rary musician on both Guitar and Bass.

"I wanted to play Jazz Guitar since I first saw Joe Negri on Mr. Rogers as a kid. I also

wanted to play like Scotty Moore and Chet Atkins because they were always on the ste-

reo at my grandma's house. I really love the sounds of Wes Montgomery and Les Paul."

"I am also influenced by everyone I have played with, including these selected people:

Scott Belck, Louie Bellson, Joanne Brackeen, Brothers in Arms, Ray Brown, Royce

Campbell, Conte Condoli, Dennis DiBlasio, The Gear Shifts, Tom Harrell, David Hastings,

Patrick Hessian, Johnny Holiday, Marian McPartland, Larry (Mack) McWilliams, Ellis Mar-

salis, Mylla, Frank Puzulo,The Shrine Circus, TC & his Orchestra - Big Band, The Vince

Villanova Big Band, The Lawrence Welk Road Band, Roger Williams, and Phil Woods."

"Guitar players should listen to more than just guitar players. Like most jazz artists, I am

certainly influenced by the legends in jazz. Some of my favorites are Charlie Parker, Diz-

zy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Oscar Peterson, Lee Morgan, and Paul Desmond."

Jerry has previously toured with the Lawrence Welk Road Band and has played with oth-

er major artists including pianist Roger Williams, pianist Joanne Brackeen, saxophonist

Phil Woods, and bassist Ray Brown. Jerry began studying jazz guitar with James Tridico
