What was Jesus’ Mission?

John 3:17

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save

the world through him.”

Could he accomplish this, if he was dead?

I Corinthians 15:14,17

“If Christ had not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith… If Christ had not been raised, your faith is futile; you are

still in your sins.”

A dead man is not a great deal of help to us; a dead God is even

worse.

There are some that argue that Jesus’ resurrection was a fake.

Could this be true? Why or why not?

5 Reasons why it was a Real Resurrection

Mark 16:6

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He

has Risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.”

1) The Tomb was Empty

“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was

raised on the third day according to the Scriptures… he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time.”
