God’s gospel will be brought to
fulfillment by the LORD Himself

We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His holy angels when He will bring His kingdom to fulfillment and exercise His role of Judge of all. This coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial
service and energetic mission.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with
Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be
gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from
the goats. Matthew 25:31-32
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will
by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we
shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
20 He who testifies to these things says,
“Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!Revelation 22:20
This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11

• The nature of Christ’s return• A glorious return• Christ will come with His angels
...when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in
flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who
do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:7
• The nature of Christ’s return• A glorious return• Christ will come with His angels• Christ will come as King
He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has
on His robe and on His thigh a name written:KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.Rev. 19:15-16
• The nature of Christ’s return• A glorious return• Christ will come with His angels• Christ will come as King• Christ will come as Judge
He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in
righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.
He has given assurance of this to all
by raising Him from the dead.”
Acts 17:31
27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie,
but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Revelation 21:27
His angels...will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who
practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be
wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:41,42
48 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to
all who have loved His appearing.
2 Timothy 4:48
24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and
believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
John 5:24
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in
Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but
according to the Spirit.Romans 8:1
11 … no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by
fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
2 Corinthians 3:11-13
14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive
a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as
through fire

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed,
we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in
Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
1 John 3:2-3
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to
repentance.
