Lüscher offers the JetScreen DX flat with 32, 64, 96 or 128 laser diodes. The JetScreen DX flat can handle all current printing frame formats from 500 x 500 mm, up to an external frame format of 8000 x 3800 mm.

Very long-living and extremely high-powered blue laser diodes and the elimination of other production consumables substanti-ally reduce the running costs for producing formes for textile and screen printing; improving the economics of the screen printing process compared with other, rival printing processes.

The JetScreen DX flat offers a variable resolution from 300 x 600 dpi up to 1200 x 2400 dpi that allows virtually all current emulsions, including the standard capillary film systems to be fully and flawlessly exposed from print to squeegee side at maximum imaging speed. The JetScreen DX flat is equally capable of handling white, coloured or metal meshes. Excep-tional, full-depth emulsion curing guarantees very high mech-anical, abrasi-on, water and solvent resistance for the finished screen.

The new JetScreen DX round uses long lasting, state of the art blue laser diodes to cut the time needed to produce high quality rotary screens with a maximum length of 3500 mm.

The laser diodes offer tremendous time savings, since they are capable of exposing screens at a higher resolution and up to threetimesfasterthanispossiblewithtoday’sinkjetliquidwaxtechnologies. The JetScreen DX round also requires no consuma-bles,sothattheoverallscreenmakingprocessischeaperandmore economical.

With the standard configuration of 1200 dpi resolution and 16 individually controllable laser diodes the JetScreen DX round exposes a screen coated with a standard emulsion, a repeat of 640mmandalengthof2200mminlessthan10minutes.Ifthe32 laser diode option is used the exposing time is reduced to 5 minutes.

Direct imaging with blue laser diodes

The Lüscher JetScreen DX uses blue laser technology to directly image screens by means of a process that requires no other consumables. The processworksasfollows:

The separated files are imaged from the printing side of the coated screen by blue laser diodes as wrong reading negatives. The high-po-wered lasers enable conventional diazo emulsions to be cured, even on colouredmeshes,aswellaswell-knownCTSprojectionemulsions.

Individualcontrolmeansthateachlasercanbeindividuallyadjusted,allowingfullyautomaticadjustmentofthelaserenergyforeachemul-sion and type of mesh. The JetScreen DX can also image emulsions withathicknessinexcessof600microns.

Loss-free laser technology means that the JetScreen DX delivers consistentimagingqualityandspeedwhenproducingscreens.Inshort, with the JetScreen DX it is possible to standardize digital screen production.
