Present Situation

• Visitor arrivals in past 6 years grew at annual rate of 9.5%

• Arrival volume is expected to expand at an average of 10% per annum to hit 6 million by 2016

• Arrival count as of July 2010 posted 14% growth totalling to 2.039 million

• Korea bounces back as the top source market with growth rate of 35% and arrival share of 20%

Present Situation

• Despite economic recession, arrivals from the USA increased by 2% for a market share of 18%

• Arrivals from China and Taiwan remained robust with growths of 30% and 28%, respectively

• Australia, ASEAN, Russia, and Scandinavian markets continue to post double digit growth in 2010

• To instill pride among our people on the rich history, cultural, national heritage and ecology

• To conserve, protect and enhance sustainability of tourism programs

• To optimize economic benefits thus enhancing the quality of life

• To cater to every tourist and traveler and give them the experience worth their money
