The campaign, Waukesha County Provides, is being conducted by a col- laborative group which includes the Food Pantry of Waukesha County, Hebron House of Hospitality, Hope Center and The Women’s Center. The campaign is being launched to build on the success of the Greater Milwau- kee Foundation’s Match Day, which featured unprecedented community support, but which is not being con- tinued in 2016. All four organizations will provide information and make presentations to businesses, churches and civic groups while requesting funding to address support for individuals requiring basic needs assistance. The program will end April 8 with the “All is Ours Day,” which is meant as a day to be grateful for what we have and give back to others, according to the announcement. Feb. 13, 1932Prospects seemed bright

today for seizing two banditswho attempted to blow a safein the Arthur Seefluth garageat Dunham Hill in the Town ofMuskego. A Smith and Wes-son .45 caliber army revolver, several bullets, a flashlightand a black hat, size 7-1/2, anda glove were found by Mr.Seefluth behind his garageyesterday. They are believedto have been dropped by oneof the bandits in his attemptto escape the firing of Williamand Arthur Seefluth.

The revolver had been firedsix times and all cartridgeswere empty.

It is thought that one of thebandits, who is believed tohave been wounded, for hewas seen to fall and then getup and escape, can be tracedby the hat and glove if not bythe other articles.

Sheriff Phil Herbrand tookthe equipment to Milwaukeetoday for identification.

Feb. 13, 1954Women Drivers Should Not

BeThe more we see of women

drivers in Waukesha, themore we’re convinced theyshould be required to pass atest in distance judging beforethey’re given their licenses.

All of these occurred inbroad daylight within thespace of three days, and wesaw ‘em all.

1. A well-dressed fender-bender driving a blue cartried to get out of a parkingspace. She slam-banged intothe car behind hers withouteven so much as a lookaround to see if a car wasthere. No damage done exceptto our nerves.

2. A nice looking bumper-jumper in a brown car wantedto squeeze out of a parkingplace on Lincoln Avenue. Sheinched forward slowly. Hercar’s front bumper started toscrape the rear bumper of thecar ahead. Instead of doingwhat any sensible man woulddo, she negotiated it as awoman would be expected to:she slam-banged forward, scratching both bumpers, ticking the other car’s fenderand pushing the car forwardenough to help wreck theemergency brake.

3. A reasonably intelligentlooking radiator-eradicator ina small car drove along Broad-way in one direction whilelooking and waving in anoth-er.

Isn’t there someone towhom we could write a letter?
