Initiation

PURPOSE: The purpose of this project was to save lives by making the timely availability of the required blood group, 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year in and around Dhuledistrict.

STRATEGY: Organising blood donation camp at NMiMSand nearing schools and campus in neighbouring villages.

• Organizing Committee was formed consisting of 2 members each from the 3 educational institutions and 3 faculty incharges.

• Ms. Shreya Rajput was appointed as the Project Manager

The execution phases includes 3 phases:

• Pre camp phase

• Camp phase

Pre camp phase

• The incharges contacted the bank and an official letter of request was sent

• 2 halls with water, electricity and washroom facilities were arranged

• Inspection of the venue was conducted

• Publicity and awareness were conducted

• Volunteers were appointed17

Camp Phase

• The team arrived at the venue one hour prior to the appointed time .

• They supervised the venue for adequate facilities.

• Inspect pre-donation, donation and post-donation areas as per standards.

• Banners were displayed everywhere.

• Shri. Amrishbhai Patel inaugurated the donation camp.

• The camp timing was from 9 am to 6pm (all three days)

Post Camp Phase

• Medical director sent letters of appreciation to the organizers and encouraged them.

• Blood donors were handed with Thanksgiving letters, Blood group identity certificates, Membership cards (by hospitals), badges & their detailed blood report.

• Constant touch with blood donors should be maintained through birthday cards, anniversary cards, etc.

• An article regarding the happenings of the events were published in the local newspapers as well as Times of India

Closure

• A well defined report of the whole campaign

was prepared and recorded.

• A voluntary donor directory was prepared.

• The expenses were cleared

• Mementos were handed out to all the

supporting bodies and volunteers

• Hired equipments/ appliances were returned.

• A public feedback was generated
