PROJECT INFORMATIONWe designed a new building for PurFoods , located in Ankeny, Iowa. The new building will consolidate most of its internal departments and operations into one building. Our program consisted of space planning, design concept, furniture selection and material application.

This model has three floors: the first and second floor are for display; the third floor is an outdoor garden.

Design Studio : Architect & Culture

We designed this model based on learning Loius Barragan’s architecture works and Italian culture. This model is a gallary for displaying the photographs of Barragan’s art works.

Functional Assembly

Course Requirement:In this project, students have different designated materials and need to do a fuctional assemblage. My materials were plywood, pvc pipe and bolts.

I designed a lamp, which could be usedas a wall sconce or a table lamp. On the side without pvc pipe, the light could compose a heart shape because of the heart shape holes.

Functional Assembly Tool & Space Container

Project Description:In this project, we are required to do a model tool which should be the same shape as a real one and during this project we coulnot use glue or tape.

I wove the handle of the hammer in order to keep the same curve shape and used insection as the main connection method.

Project Description:This is a real project and also a competition which located in the Des Moines, IA. Our clients are West Grand Condominium’s tenants. They want us to redesign their apartment.

West Grand Condominium Project

We used transitional style to redesign the lobby and corridor area. Based on the requirements of our clients, we kept the original furniture.
