The railway has reached an agreement to buy LMS ‘Jinty’ 47493 from its current owner and needs your support to complete the purchase and overhaul of the locomotive. Since its return to service in 2003, 47493 has been the ‘signature’ locomotive of our railway and with your help we can return the locomotive to operational service during 2021. Our target for this appeal is to raise £130,000. We have already secured a financial commitment to match-fund for all donations up to £50,000, received by June 30th 2020.
