WHAT’S NEW IN MEASUREMENTA Message from the President
RAISING PERFORMANCE. TOGETHER™ 2
To the Measurement Team,First I’d like to take the time to tell you how excited Iam to join Measurement Systems. Throughout thelast several years, I’ve spent time in our Drilling andProduction Systems group, Corporate Headquarters, and Engineered and Process Valve Division andalways been impressed whenever I’ve had the chanceto work with Measurement Systems. The division, itsbrands and, most importantly, its people, all have agreat reputation throughout Cameron and theindustry. I’m proud to be a part of this successfulteam.
I’d also like to formally thank Pat Holley for hisleadership and guidance over the past seven years. Hehas truly been part of the lifeblood of the division andis largely responsible for its success to date. Pat has anew set of challenges ahead of him in his new role asthe President of Centrifugal Compression Systemsand I hope you all will join me in wishing him the bestof luck in his new endeavor. I have no doubt he’llsucceed in Process and Compression as well.
Market ConditionsThe year ahead of us is certainly going to be anexciting but demanding one for the division.Building on our solid performance in 2011, we have achallenging budget ahead of us in 2012 and it willtake the attention, focus and hard work of everyemployee in the division to meet and exceed it. Whilethe market is still full of uncertainty, bookings have
picked up significantly in February compared to aslow start at the beginning of the year and inquiriesare still showing strong demand. We must work hardto earn our customers’ business by continuing tofocus on excellent customer service throughcompetitive pricing and delivery. It will take a teameffort to accomplish these goals and I ask that each ofyou think about how you can contribute your part tokeep us successful and continually improve ourposition in the market.
SafetyI cannot stress enough the focus I will be seekingfrom each employee regarding safety. We all work inan environment that can offer potential for injury –even if you’re merely in the office. As a result, we mustall proactively seek to reduce and eliminate thoserisks that surround us.
Unfortunately we have had several incidents so far in2012 involving employees that were seriously injured. My goal, and the goal I want each of you focused on,is making sure every one of our employees returnshome safely at the end of the day, every day. We candrive this result through consistently reinforcing theimportance of safety, conducting risk assessments, and performing regular inspections of work areas andequipment. If you witness an unsafe act orenvironment, you have the authority (and theobligation) to stop work immediately!
OptimusAs most of you have heard, Cameron is investingsignificantly in to Optimus, our new set of standardprocesses and procedures to help best use SAPefficiently and consistently to drive profitabilityacross the business. Currently, Compression Systemsis set to “Go Live” in April of this year. Afterwards,Valves and Measurement is slated to be the nextgroup to begin the preparation, training andconversion process. For those of you that have beenidentified as Process Owners, Subject MatterExperts, or Ambassadors, I highly encourage you tobegin proactively engaging your leadership and theV&M Optimus deployment team on how you canpersonally begin preparing for your area. Thisconversion will be a significant investment and willdeliver substantial benefits as long as we fullycommit to it. Currently we don’t have a target datefinalized for Measurement but rest assured we’llannounce the timeline as soon as it is confirmed.
Finally, I’m looking forward to meeting each andevery one of you during my upcoming andcontinued visits to the various Measurementoffices and facilities throughout the globe. If you seeme, please be sure to introduce yourself – I’d like toknow what you do and how our leadership team cansupport you.

LACF2012 UpdateTony Mediate, Sales Manager, Caldon Ultrasonics, and his wife,Florence, founded and continue tooperate the LACF (Latin AmericanChildren’s Fund) in El Salvador.
In 2009, we were approachedby a social worker in the rural
community of Santa Ana; they were in
need of a medical facility to care for
approximately 400 children and 1,000
adults. LACF (Latin American Children’s
Fund) presented the idea to our
supporters in one of our newsletters,
and they immediately jumped on board.
In January 2011, the medical clinic in
Santa Ana opened for business.
The clinic has two examining rooms, a
waiting area, nurse’s station and two
inside bathrooms. Three churches from
the Pittsburgh area sent groups of
workers to paint, build cabinets, install
fans and do some landscaping. The
government agreed to provide a
doctor one or two days every week, if
LACF would build the facility. The
local community was humming and
jumped in to support the construction
of the clinic as best they could. During the grand opening, the
mayor came to address the people and LACF provided hot dogs,
hamburgers and soft drinks. The clinic became a huge
overnight success.
In May of 2011, monsoon rains caused extensive flooding to a
number of areas in El Salvador. The government had a public
medical facility located about 5 km from the new clinic. The
entire facility was destroyed and washed off the property.
Funds were not available to rebuild, therefore they approached
us for permission to use the new clinic to service additional
patients. We agreed and the government now sends a doctor
everyday of the week to work in the clinic. This has turned out
to be more of a blessing to the area than we could ever have
imagined. There are over 5,000 adults and 1,800 children that
walk as far as 8 km to see a doctor at the clinic.
LACF was founded in 1988 and continues to provide
orphanages and communities in El Salvador, Central America,
with the basic needs to improve their value of life. Please visit
our web site www.lacfund.org for additional information.

Getting Lean in 2012
In 2011, the Measurement division of the V&M group beat the
corporate mandated savings goal of $2M thus setting a new
Measurement division record for savings. We also certified MannyGottlieb (Pittsburgh) and Jed Cook (Duncan) as Greenbelts. BothManny and Jed completed their certification while balancing their
day-to-day responsibilities as a Transducer Engineer and
Electronics Technician, respectively. The business problems theysolved recorded a combined savings of $294,000.
One of the cornerstones of the Lean6Sigma approach is
continuous improvement. In keeping with that spirit, ourLean6Sigma program is undergoing several modifications to drive
towards our 2012 goal of over $4M in savings. We’ve modified our
Process Improvement Workshops and formalized our reportingstructure. Additionally, we’re working closely with SiteLeadership Teams to develop interesting, valuable and highly-
visible projects. As a Greenbelt candidate in Measurement, you’ll
be assigned a Blackbelt to mentor you through the process.
I’m proud to be the Lead Blackbelt for Measurement Systems, andit’s an exciting time for you to start your Lean6Sigma journey. Using
the problem-solving methodology taught in our courses, we show
employees how to recognize savings opportunities in everyday
work activities and equip students with the tools and knowledge to
tackle even the most complex business problems. Everyone hasthe ability to positively impact thebusiness, and every individual isrecognized for their accomplishments.

The new medical clinic in Santa Ana.
Founded in 1981, by Mohammed Binghalib,Mohammed Binghalib Energy Enterprises (MBEE)
was the first technical sales organization in theArabian Gulf, specializing solely in instrumentation &control systems MBEE was formed, to locally supply
and service, oilfield equipment from many
manufacturers catering to industries such as oil &
gas, chemical, water, waste water treatment and
process plants. Prior to this, customers in the area
were served, either by direct sales from
manufacturers or from trading houses, both of which,
merely supplied equipment, with little or no local
back up and support. The business took off and was
successful, only just surviving the same booms and
busts of the oilfield as we all know too well. Many ofMBEE’s original employees are still in place, andcelebrating their 30 year anniversary, coincides
with becoming our number one distributor in the
world, for Cameron’s “legacy” products in 2010.
Mohammed took a back seat in 2003 and now enjoys
his love of travelling, which is done on a “get on aflight and see what happens”, style. He hastravelled extensively, not only to our normal tourist
spots of USA and Europe but throughout the Middle
East, Far East and East Africa. He now also spends
his time fishing, and researching local history and
literature.
His son Saqr, has run the business since 2003 and
first arrived on the scene, in the late 1980s, aged
seven years old (yes, seven!!) where he was put to
work in the school holidays, repairing and
maintaining ITT Barton chart recorders and DPU’s.
He remembers being trained by Saleem Khan, now
sales manager, to fill and repair DPU’s, straighten
bent needles (he didn’t say who bent them in the first
place?) and to calibrate chart recorders. In fact
Saleem came to our facility in the UK and offered
some very good advice which cut DPU calibration
time from 2 hours to just a few minutes. So you see,
within the company resides many years of
experience and knowledge in these products.
“We had some very hard times, in my early days in
the early 2000s”, comments Saqr. “The ups and
downs of the oil prices, increased competition in
the market and the loss of our technical edge had
taken its toll and we very nearly went under”. But
Being the go getter that he is, in 2003 Saqr and the
team laid a strategy and focused efforts onto just two
manufacturers’ products lines, Cameron and
Flowserve , committing to working very closely with
only those two
Gradually, revenues increased, natural growth
occurred and some old employees came back on
board, solidifying the team and gathering momentum.
Recently, coupled with their aggressive sales force,
and backed by inside and outside sales managers
Dipika Sahoo, Saleem Khan and Reena Rejath, who
head up support teams, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai
respectively, the growth of projects in the region has
meant that in the past three years they have grown
sales by 250% for our products. “2010 was
tremendous and very hard work for all of us”,
culminating in MBEE grabbing the best distributor
in the region award, but also the best on the planet
for our legacy products” comments Gavin Munro,
RSM for the region.
Saqr continues, “MBEE are now prominent in the
region, being seen by many customers as a flow
specialist”, having made the Scanner 2000/Cone,
NuFlo/Barton turbine meters as a regular part of
their day to day business in addition to the DPU
products. “We have been particularly successful
replacing vortex meters with cones and Scanners
for ADCO’s (Abu Dhabi Co for Onshore Operation)
test separators and have installed and
commissioned over 30 systems now in three fields
now”. Their next project is to do the same offshore,
for ADMA (Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co), being
one of the first to install the Scanner 2000 with PID
control for separator level and pressure control.Other firsts achieved by MBEE, were the first to
install an MC-III in EAME, and which is now ADCO’spreferred totaliser, with over 350 units sold already
since its launch.
“Knowledge of the different segments of themarket: the oil and gas companies, servicecompanies and industrial segments all require adifferent approach and support. Product knowledgeis key, so that a confident presentation by our salesforce is accepted by the customer, without need forCameron to “back up” what is being said”.
Saqr’s major 5 year strategy plans include : • Becoming a leader in the region for Ultrasonicmeters and Multi Phase Metering, while keepingintact, the ongoing business of legacy products.
• Provide flow solutions to end users andoperating companies.
• To be know throughout he Arabian Gulf as theFlow Measurement Experts
Recently Cameron have recognized MBEE’s skills and
expertise, by awarding the Caldon and Jiskoot
Multiphase meters as part of their portfolio. With
these products, I am sure they will become the best
representative for all products in the coming years.
The challenge is laid down!

Every year, Cameron’s campaign for the United Way raises money for local area charities and foundations that help the less fortunate and better our communities. The Measurement Systems division does their part infundraising for the campaign in many different ways.
This year, the Houston office helped raise money for the United Way
campaign by hosting a number of events that the entire office
participated in. The campaign was kicked off in October with a “FishFry-Day” fundraiser lunch. More donations poured in during Pledge
Week in November with a “Relaxation Basket” raffle for a chance torelax and unwind with a basket of goodies. A “Burgers and Bingo”Lunch was also held and everyone enjoyed grilled burgers and hot
dogs and a few exciting games of bingo. Pledge week finished up with
a Trivia Day and everyone played a round of “JFK Jeopardy” with
trivia questions all centered around the Houston Location.
Since Pledge Week, the Houston office has furthered their commitment
to the United Way by hosting numerous fundraising events such as the
Valentine’s Day Raffle for a restaurant gift certificate, and a “Jerseys& Breakfast” day where participants could support their favorite
teams by wearing their Jerseys to work. The IT department chipped inand donated surplus monitors and hosted a silent auction for
employees to bid on and buy.
The campaign wrapped up on February 3rd with our annual brisketsale and barbecue lunch. Rickie Jones, Peter Bretherton and TylerHarrison worked tirelessly to smoke over 35 briskets for the sale andluncheon. The word of these wonderful briskets spread all the way to
the top, and Jack Moore stopped by to pick up one for himself and
enjoy lunch with the employees.
All of our hard work has paid off, and this year the Measurement
Systems division has raised over $13,000 for the Cameron UnitedWay campaign. We would like to thank everyone for participating andhelping in our fundraising efforts!

Delegation of Iraq’s Joint Technical Committee on Metering & Calibration visit Cameron Measurement Systems
In November the US Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) arranged for a delegation of senior Iraqiofficials representing Iraq’s Joint Technical Committee on Metering and Calibration to visit with the top measurement companies in theGulf Coast Region. Cameron Measurement Systems division hosted the delegation at their JFK facility.
Amongst the esteemed visitors were the Heads of Measurement from the Iraqi Central Organization for Standardization and QualityControl (COSQC) and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. The visitors arrived at 9 am and were welcomed by Pat Holley – President ofMeasurement Systems, and after the safety moment, detailed information regarding the wide range of capabilities and offerings providedby Cameron Measurement Systems was presented. The presentations by Gary Potten – Director Project Operations regarding the Jiskootrange of sampling and blending solutions, Ernie Hauser – Director of Sales regarding the Caldon range of flowmeters, and Brian Bordelon– Project Operations Manager regarding process analytical equipment, were extremely well received. After a Persian style lunch the
delegates and Cameron personnel took a bus ride to the Sunoco Logistics terminal in Nederland, Texas where arrangements had beenmade to view the existing Caldon and Jiskoot equipment and systems in operation. The hosts at Sunoco were extremely accommodating
and after successfully completing the site specific safety orientation the delegation was able to see Caldon flow meters and Jiskoot
blending and sampling solutions in the field. Despite the rain in Nederland the delegation spent the afternoon viewing the equipment before
traveling back to Houston. The feedback from the delegates and US officials was extremely positive. Seeing the CameronMeasurement equipment in operation and talking with the end user was a significant bonus. The time taken to host this event by all involved
will result in a long lasting relationship in the future with these Iraqi officials.
