Inclement Weather Policy As the weather changes, inclement weather days will happen more often. On inclement weather days students will be allowed in the building at 7:30am and all students enter through the main doors. 6 th graders report to the multipurpose room and 7 th and 8 th graders report to the gym. The cafeteria will be open for breakfast at 7:30am. Best Buddies Best Buddies will be selling bracelets during lunches March 4-6 for Spread the Word to End the Word" Attention MTD Riders! Remember students can use their ID to ride the bus until 7:00pm during the week. Please join us in congratulating the following students who will be the cast and crew of our spring musical, High School Musical Jr. The lists are attached as PDFs. If you have any special talents and/or community connections for painting and building sets, sewing/creating costumes, or anything 'theatre" related, please let us know! Thank you for supporting the arts, Illyanna Lopez and Shawn Kimbrel Genreflecons Its me for the library sponsored art contest. The annual contest focuses on art inspired by a different genres from the librarys collecon. This years genre is: SOCIAL SCIENCE (aka History)! Your FAQs: Students may submit ONE (1) entry per format Photography Drawing/painng Digital Art Sculpture Work must be an original creaon by the arst from this school year. Any plagiarized work will be disqualified. Submission sheets will be available Monday, March 2, 2020. Submissions will be accepted between March 23-March 27, 2020. The STEP Project at the University of Illinois would like to invite students to parcipate in research at the University. As a first step, we are inving students to complete a brief (less than 5 minute) survey. Clubs Tutoring Time (Homework Club) Tutoring Time is on Tuesday & Thursday from 2:35p-4:00p in the cafeteria. Students may come to work on homework or assignments with teacher support. The last day for this is Tuesday, May 22. Art Club Art Club is every Tuesday. If you like Art come to the Art Room from 2:45-3:30. Art Club will meet on Thursdays this year. You can come to Art Club any Tuesday you have me. D&D Club Dungeons and Dragons Club is every Wednesday from 2:45-4:00. If you like D&D or would like to learn more see Mr. Fernsberg. Gay Straight Alliance The Jefferson Gender & Sexuality Alliance meets every other Friday in the music room from 2:45-3:30. The Library Club Library acvies including journaling, book club and yoga every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 2:45-4:00. Open to everyone!
