Routine Preventative MaintenanceRegular scheduled maintenance maximises your equipment’s reliability and longevity plus minimises costly interruptions to your workflow. Let our team work with you to arrange planned maintenance at convenient intervals for your workflow.

Safety ChecksRegular maintenance and safety inspections ensure your equipment is compliant with manufacturer’s or/and appropriate Australia’s safety standards.

Technical Service ReportingOur service technicians will inspect your equipment and provide thorough documentation and reporting on the condition of your system at each inspection (providing you with a history of operating performance).

Telephone SupportIf unexpected problems arise with your equipment, direct assistance from John Morris Scientific’s technical personnel is as close as the phone for rapid resolution to simple problems.

Verification We conduct regular performance quality inspections on your equipment to ensure ongoing consistent performance.

• Includes labour charges for scheduled routine maintenance.• Exchange of wear and tear components or maintenance kits where stated.• Lubrication, minor repairs, electrical checks and cleansing tasks where specified.• Review of fault logging if available.• Recommend and quote for necessary repair parts/labour, dependent upon your Service Plan.

• Verification of specified quality parameters.• Recording and scheduling of calibration tasks.• Measure & adjust system parameters to comply with manufacturer’s specifications.• Documentation and detailed reports on the system’s status.• Temperature mapping for freeze dryers.

• Mechanical safety testing (eg mechanical movements).• Electrical safety testing (eg current leakage, insulation, etc).• Recording and scheduling of required tests including assessment on remaining instrument/component lifetime as well as non-standard user damage.

Priority Breakdown ServiceBy selecting a Platinum or Gold Plan, you receive priority breakdown service (reducing your equipment down-time while knowing your labour costs are covered).

Calibration ServicesCalibration services are performed on a wide range of instruments including pipettes, flow transducers, vacuum gauges, balances, leak detectors, refractometers and colour measurement devices - encompassing most manufacturer brands. Refer ‘Service Centres of Excellence’ for more information concerning our specialised facilities.

Our pipette laboratory is NATA certified and registered ensuring all pipettes serviced are guaranteed to the highest standard.

In addition, we:

Service Centres of ExcellenceJohn Morris Scientific has established centres of excellence for the repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, installation and commissioning of scientific equipment located across Australian and New Zealand.

Reinforcing the Service Agreement packages, our Service Division provides expertise in the following areas.

Pipette Calibration and ServicingOur pipette laboratory is NATA certified and registered meaning all work performed is guaranteed to the highest standards. We are also the only Gilson Authorised Pipette Service Centre in Australia/New Zealand and offer calibration and repair on most pipette brands including Gilson, Eppendorf and Thermo.

Vacuum PumpsWe service most brands of pumps (rotary vane, turbo, diaphragm, cryo and ion) plus sensors and gauges including Vacuubrand, Adixen, Buchi, Edwards, Varian, Leybold and Pfeiffer. We feature a huge range of spare parts, a dedicated glass bead polishing unit, environmentally friendly oil reclamation, clean room environments for re-assembly, vacuum ‘bake-in’ stations for post assembly verification and leak detection services for continued out of specification fault finding.

Gas Flow and Vacuum SensorsOur state-of-the-art MKS calibration bench is appointed with multiple NIST traceable standards providing accuracy to 0.02% of reading with a calibration range from 0.0005 to 1000 Torr. We are able to calibrate most sensor technologies including Baratron, Capacitive, Piezo and Pirani. JMS Service Division offers calibration for MKS, Vacuubrand, Pfeiffer, Adixen, Edwards and Oerlikon as well as a range of service checks for other brands.

Helium and Hydrogen Leak DetectionOur team of technicians are factory trained in the service and use of helium and hydrogen based leak detection. Our experience encompasses a wide range of manufacturers including Adixen and Sensistor across diverse industry sectors.

Verification of Infrared Gas Analysers and Light SensorsDesigned in collaboration with Li-Cor, we specialise in the verification and repair of ultra sensitive CO2 gas analysers and photosynthesis systems. Our environmentally controlled facility includes certified reference gases, state-of-the-art CO2 analysers, dew point generators, NIST traceable MKS Mass Flow Meters, certified reference PAR and quantum light sensors. We are able to offer both atmospheric and benchtop CO2 verification and repair.

Water SamplersOur specialists offer complete service and support for ISCO water samplers including repair, preventative maintenance contracts and full refurbishment. Our service includes full technical backup and support, application advice and modifications for common site related issues (eg external pump switching capability).
