Basic Job Duties

• Perform test or evaluations

• Aid in detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, injury, or other physical conditions

ECG/EKG Technician

• Operate ECG machine• Prepare report for physician• May preform Stress Test• Apply holter monitors• Assist with thallium scans

Cardiovascular Technologist

• Assist with cardiac catherization• Monitor patients during open heart surgery• Specialists called echocardiographers use

neurologists. To diagnosis seizures, brain tumors, and sleep disorders

Medical Lab Technologist (MT’s)

• Work under supervision of doctor• Determine presence and/ or cause of disease

by studying tissues, fluids, and cells of the human body

• Specialties:– Biochemistry, Blood Bank, Cytotechnology,

Hematology, Histology, and Microbiology

• Work under supervision of technologist

• Perform routine test that DO NOT require advance knowledge
