SCREEN THE SCREENER usesthree players. Player #1 will startdirectly in front of the Gun andbe the passer. Player #2 will startat the point as the screener.Player #3 will start opposite of thepasser and be the shooter. Thepasser will become the screener,the screener will become theshooter, and the shooter willbecome the passer. In this drill,you are able to control theamount of shots that players getfrom each side.

PLAYER #1 will shoot the jumpshot coming off the screen andthen replace player #2. Player #2will move to the top of the keyand become the screener. Player#3 will drop and become theshooter. At this point, each playerhas shot one shot from this side.For demonstration, we will nowswap the Gun to the oppositeside and work the drill from theother side. A coach or player maychoose how many shots he/shewants before the Gun moves tothe opposite side.

SINCE THE GUN has now rotatedto the other side, player #3 willmove out and become the passerwhile player #1 drops down andbecomes the shooter. This addsthe element of communication tothe drill. Players must talk onchange of sides.

TRANSITION JUMPERS beginswith a passer at the top of thekey, two players on the rightwing, and one player on the leftwing. The passer is responsiblefor getting the ball from the Gunand delivering to shooters onalternating wings. The shooters willcatch the pass, shoot, and thensprint to half court and fill thelane on the opposite wing. NOTE:Cones or chairs are often placedat half-court to force players toget wide when they fill the lanes.

TRANSITION JUMPERS (Slide theLine) begins with a passer at thetop of the key, two players on theright wing, and one player on theleft wing. The passer isresponsible for getting the ballfrom the Gun and delivering toshooters on alternating wings. Theshooters will catch the pass,shoot, and then sprint to halfcourt and fill the lane on theopposite wing. This time, theshooters will slide the line downto the corner for the 3-point shot.NOTE: Cones or chairs are oftenplaced at half-court to forceplayers to get wide when they fillthe lanes.
