Two Paper Machines width 1900 mm and associated preparation and finishing equipment

Two paper machines producing high value printing and writing papers, including watermarked papers. These machines are well maintained and can be seen in operation. The machines have had various rebuilds over the years. Mill voltage is 415V, 3phase and 50 cycles. The paper machines share a common Avebe starch cooker, chemical make-up units, colour kitchen etc. Both machines have fibre recovery units for fibre recovery from backwater systems.

FINAL WATER TREATMENT

The Mill has settler tank, biological treatment staging tank, clarified water tanks and a surge tank for wash up/shutdowns etc.

The final sludge is thickened by a Tasster screw press giving a dryness of approximately 25% solids
