through his writings

Involved in ecclesiastical politics

-As theological counselor for the King’s interests at Bruges, he met

John of Gaunt who became Wycliffe’sPatron and his connection to Chaucer

-Wycliffe saw the corruption ofthe papacy and launched more radical reforms with the support

of John of Gaunt.
