First Heritage competed against other local financial institutions in the 16th Annual Trike Race to benefit the United Way of the Southern Tier. The United Way was the big winner but First Heritage did bring home the 1st place trophy!

First Heritage will once again run the Drive Away Hunger campaign

beginning in April. Last year’s campaign raised over $7,500 for the

Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The campaign includes a partnership

with local auto dealerships and our members to raise funds for

building and sustaining hunger-free communities. The two month

campaign will generate up to $30 for each new auto loan financed.

We will be hosting several free educational seminars in 2020 on a variety of important topics such as Estate Planning, Social Security, Medicare, Home Buying and more.Each seminar will be listed on the events page of our website in early 2020 at https://www.fhfcu.org/connect-with-us/events-and-closings.Seminars will also be announced in our electronic monthly newsletter. Four young professionals from the region were honored on October 30th at our 3rd Annual NextGen Leaders award ceremony. The awards recognize professionals age 21-40, living or working in Chemung and Steuben County, NY or Tioga County, PA who have demonstrated leadership within their profession, their organization and contributed to their community through volunteerism.

LEADER OF THE PACK CHAMPIONSWe have a full year of bragging rights as the Leader of the Pack champs, but more importantly, we helped so many children in our community who rely on the Food Bank of the Southern Tier Backpack Program for food on the weekends and holidays. A total of 16 local area businesses participated in the challenge, packing a total of 10,800 backpacks which will provide 250 kids an entire year of backpacks!
