Benefits of eReefs

• Transform reef management by improving the visibility, currency and application of information throughout GBR.

• Support monitoring the current status of the reef environment,

• enable current conditions to be evaluated against past conditions and future conditions

• Integrate social and economic data relating to populations, tourism trends, rec fishing

• be the demonstration project for building a comprehensive coastal information system for Australia.
