Welcome to Part 3 of our series!


What can I expect from Google Analy/cs (GA)?


Google Analy/cs give OBJECTIVE measures!


GA reports are composed of graphs and numbers


Why do I need to know the numbers and graphs?


Numbers and graphs help you SEE reality clearly


Numbers and graphs provide measurement of performance

How well do you know your website visitors?


Do you know how many visitors did your website have TODAY?


Do you know if you have visitors from Asia, Antar/ca, or Europe?


If your readers are from Asia, do you know which part of Asia?


Do you know which browser they used to go to your site?


Do you know where your traffic is coming from?


Do you know which of your posts did they love the most?


How can you sell to your visitors if you do not know them?


You said you know some of the answers…. BUT…


How sure are YOU of your answers?


Do you want to have the RIGHT ANSWERS?


NOW, are YOU ready to see some of the GA reports?


In your browser, type h^p://www.google.com/analy/cs


Click “Sign In” and enter your details


Click on the name of your website


Click the name of your site again


You will see your Dashboard


Looks familiar right?


By this /me, you should have overcome your fear of numbers right?


Just relax and enjoy the learning process!


Now, back to your Dashboard


No/ce the led side?

Each of these main tabs contain reports about your website (w/ blue icons)


For reports about your visitors, you have “Audience”


For reports about your ad campaigns, you have “Adver/sing”


Google Analy/cs have different reports about your site!


Remember our li^le test earlier???


How well do you know your website visitors?


Let’s find out the RIGHT answers!


Ques/on: Do you know how many visitors did your website have

TODAY?


Click “Audience”


A drop down panel will appear!


Again, each tab has a report on audience behavior on your site!


Now, you click “Overview”


You will see “Overview”


Mouse over the date to see your number of visitors on that day!


Ques/on: Do you know if you have visitors from Asia, Antar/ca,

or Europe?


Click “Audience”


Are you curious where your readers are coming from?


Click “Demographics”


This is what you will see!


This website has readers in the Philippines, US, Canada and UAE


Now drill down and ask, which states in the US are my readers

coming from?


Click on “United States”


You will see the map where your readers are…


Scroll down and you will see specific figures per state


Ques/on: Do you know which browser they used to go to your site?


Click “Technology”


A drop down panel will appear


Click “Browser & OS”


You will see this screen


Scroll down and you will see this…


This means that many of your visitors use Chrome


If you prefer a pie chart, you can see one on the right side


Are you curious if they used a mobile device to view your site?


Click “Mobile”




Click “Overview”


Now you know the answer!


No/ce the boxes on the upper right hand?


You can choose the type of chart that you want!


If you want just numbers and no chart, click the box with rows


Numbers are all that you will see!


To see a pie chart, click the round box


Viola! A pie chart!


Want a bar chart? Click the tab with bars


Now, you have bar chart!


Ques/on: Do you know where you traffic is coming from?


Go back to the main tabs on the led side (with blue icons)


Click “Traffic Sources”




Click “Sources”




Click “All Traffic”


You will see your sources of traffic!


Ques/on: Do you know which of your posts did they love the most?


Click “Content”




Click “Site Content”


Another drop down panel will appear


Click “All Pages”


You will see your top posts!


Click “Site Speed”




Click “Overview”


You will see this info…


One reason why you may have less visitors is because it takes long

for your page to load


Hoorraaayyy! You now have the RIGHT ANSWERS

about your website!


Bear in mind that what we have explored is just

the /p of the iceberg!


Just click on the different reports to learn more

about your website!
