The education is invaluable to the pair while the friendships formed with the US’s top aspiring riders will continue throughout Jordán’s career.
ROAD TO PRESTIGIOUS ROLEX KENTUCKY THREE DAY EVENTTraining with US Olympic Even6ng Team Coach David O’Conner and the USEA Developing Riders Prepare Jordán and Her Mounts for the US’s Most Pres6gious Three Day Event
Just days a)er her 2013 Fundraiser and Silent Auc8on in January, Jordán Linstedt le) her home in Redmond, Wash. for California beginning her journey to the renowned 2013 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event. Rolex is the only CCI**** interna8onal level event in the United States, and Jordán debuted last year with a brilliant top 30 finish. Joining her are her mounts Tullibards Hawkwind (barn name Jack) and RevitaVet Capato along with a horse in training named Eva (owned by Kris8e Zierwick, Jordán’s assistant).
Jordán headed to Flying Tail Farm in Gilroy, Calif. for her first training session with US Olympic Even8ng Team Coach David O’Conner as part of the USEA Developing Riders Program. Riding Capato, Jordán and David focused on show jumping in this first
training session. According to Jordán, “Capato was fantas8c although energe8c and a bit full of himself.” David’s compliments for Capato surrounded his skill in show jumping no8ng that the pair’s training should focus on improving his rideability on the flat.
Jordán enjoyed the Developing Riders training and is looking forward to working with David and the other riders for years to come.

Training with Tamra Smith and Next Level EvenCng
From Gilroy, Jordán headed to Tucalota Creek Ranch in Temecula, Calif. to train with Tamra Smith and Next Level Even8ng. Jordán is helping Tamra ride and teach while preparing for Rolex. Tucalota Creek is a beau8ful 40-‐acre facility located 10 minutes from Galway Downs. The horses sebled in well, and Jordán has enjoyed seeing her good friends in the area.
Galway Downs Winter Horse TrialsOn February 1-‐3, 2013, Jordán competed Jack and Capato
at the Galway Downs Winter Horse Trials. Both horses competed in the Preliminary division and preformed well. Jack was a bit tough to ride in the small dressage court and an8cipated more advanced movements during the test. Show jumping went well, and cross-‐country was excep8onal going double clear. “Jack felt great – it was the first 8me he has ever galloped the en8re Galway course while pulling me around.”
Capato preformed beau8fully in dressage placing second with a score of 25.5. He show jumped well but was extremely strong as the smaller fences weren’t backing him off. Jordán incurred 8me penal8es caused by schooling him on the course.
In the end, both horses had iden8cal final scores of 39.50 puhng Jack in fourth place and Capato in fi)h place.

Twin Rivers Horse Trails March 1-‐3, 2014
Following Galway, Jordán took Jack and Eva cross country schooling at the 65-‐acre Copper Meadows Even8ng facility in Ramona, Calif. in prepara8on for the Twin Rivers Horse Trials. Copper Meadows’ Intermediate and Advanced level jumps and water obstacles challenged Jack as he prepared to run Advanced at Twin Rivers. Twin Rivers was Eva’s first event, and her prepara8on on Copper’s beginning novice obstacles put completely new ques8ons in front of her. Although extremely curious of everything on the course, she jumped well and was an enjoyable ride.
Jordán headed out to compete at the Twin Rivers Winter Horse Trails on March 1-‐3, 2013 in Paso Robles, Calif. Jack’s finesse in the dressage ring shined with an almost perfect Advanced level test puhng him in second place only 0.7 points behind Kris8 Nunnick and R-‐Star. “Dressage was remarkable, but show jumping proved challenging,” said Jordán. “I had an off day, and we both felt rusty. I’ve focused much of Jack’s recent training on flatwork which benefited his dressage round greatly but le) us behind in the jump arena.”
Jack ran one of his best cross country courses going clear at Twin Rivers. Linstedt inten8onally tackled the Advanced course
with care out of the start box as this was Jack’s most compe88ve event following Rolex and Woodside in 2012. The pair incurred 8me penal8es, but Jack ran the advanced course with ease. “His joy for cross country showed throughout Twin’s en8re course,” said Jordán. “Jack’s breathing felt amazing. He has changed tremendously following his 8eback surgery last summer. Jack now pulls me around the course, and I no longer have to create his engine for him. I almost feel as though I need to relearn how to ride the new Jack!”
Jordán also competed Kris8e Zierwick’s mount Eva in Open Beginner Novice at Twin Rivers as her first event ever. Eva was green in the dressage ring puhng the pair in the second half of the division following the test. She regained her focus and demonstrated her ap8tude for show jumping. Eva had only one rail down due to a miscommunica8on before jump three. In her first cross-‐country compe88ve run ever, Eva showed her curiosity around the course but handled the obstacles well. Jordán kept her calm out of the start box
and trobed the first few fences before going double clear. “I was extremely impressed with how Eva handled cross-‐country,” said Jordán. “All in all Eva was brave, athle8c and a blast to ride all weekend. Thank you Kris8e for giving me the opportunity to ride such a promising young horse.” Eva finished in sixth place with a score of 46.50.

J O R D Á N L I N S T E D T E V E N T I N G2013 Fundraiser AucCon Results -‐ THANK YOU!!!!!
In January, Jordán Linstedt Even8ng held a fundraiser and auc8on to support Jordan’s 2013 season, training with David O’Conner and her trip to Rolex. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, friends, clients, family and other supporters, we raised $12,000 in one evening!
Over 160 gi) baskets and gi) cer8ficates were donated to the auc8on. The variety of items enhanced the auc8on with something for everyone including wine and wine tas8ng, jewelry, clothing, books, home decor, auto emergency kits, tack, pet items and more. There were 41 gi) cer8ficates for everything from Olson’s Tack, veterinarian services from Tom Hansen, farrier services from Jake Crowden and Becca Griffith, SAT prepara8on from Seable Learning Professionals, dressage lessons with Debbie Dewib, riding lessons from Markelle Linstedt and Hannah Knabel, cross-‐country lessons at Aspen and Polestar, saddle fihng from Meriwether Saddlery, discounts on Maui vaca8ons from the Murberg family, 2013 show season trailering, pain8ng services from Chapin Pain8ng, electrical work from Dan Walker, MC Landscaping services and much more.
Eight items were auc8oned off live bringing quite a bit of support. A beau8ful handmade cross-‐country jump was donated by Bella & Burch Designs made by Jordán’s client Rachael Burch. Sara McKenzie and Penny Leggob donated a personally prepared dinner party for six people. They ended up auc8oning off a second dinner! Window cleaning and general contractor services sparked bidding wars. And a group of lucky roommates got an incredible Xbox console and game package.
Jordán’s sponsors donated numerous items including a RevitaVet Infrared Light Therapy System, 12‘x12’ Hoof Grid mats, feed and coupons from Purina, Redmond Rock salts and minerals, Grand Meadows supplements, Equine D vitamins and supplements, gi) cer8ficates for Revere and Voltaire saddles, a tour of Pegasus Rehabilita8on and Training, and a tour of Emerald Downs.
Live entertainment was provided by Avery Jacob, a 10-‐year old client of Jordán, who played her cello and raised money passing around a pink cowboy hat during her performance.
With unexpected truck and trailer repairs taking place the week of the fundraiser, this incredible level of support brought peace of mind and joy to Jordán as she le) for California. THANK YOU to everyone who supports Jordán!
