Planned Activities for FY2013

• SBIR Workshop - Steve Hill (Aegis) and Jeff Grongberg (deciBel) and gov’t POC’s

• Initiate and investigate collaboration with other clusters in promising opportunity areas – e.g. energy systems and technologies

• Hold multiple ideation sessions throughout the year, including specific to the region’s technology thrusts: Cyber, Geospatial, and Energy

• Work with our new partner NAITA in looking for market opportunities outside of USA

• Proposal Session - opportunity is chosen and facilitate creation of the team to pursue

• Hold a how-to-do business with the Department of Homeland Security workshop

• Through partnerships with UAH, A&M, and WBCNA - continue to offer free or low cost training sessions in Cyber Threats, Capability Statements, Government Contracting

Planned Activities for FY2013

• Host the 2nd Emerging Technology Summit in the Fall of 2013

• Support the Chamber of Commerce with its technology and networking events

• Sponsor and coordinate a licensing event where federal agencies can showcase technologies available to the commercial markets for licensing efforts with the hopes that at the end of the event, small business can have an agreement in their hands to use the technology selected by them.

• Continue to improve our collaboration Website Tool to make it easier, more efficient, more productive, and more attractive for the community as well as for other Clusters to utilize.

• Initiate a bi-monthly (minimum) electronic newsletter highlighting the cluster activities, success stories, key participants, new businesses, upcoming events, proposal tips, proposal release dates, and other key information.
