PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Ambitious and conscientious RIBA chartered Architect, qualified and registered with ARB since 2009. In my architectural career thus far, I have worked for several reputable London based offices including internationally renowned, Eva Jiricna Architects. I’m currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster, while exploring a PhD research of the great Nigerian architect and professor Demas Nwoko’s work. I’m keen to explore opportunities in practice, teaching, researching, writing, and engaging with Africa and the Diaspora on matters relating to culture, rural and urbanism. Previously, I assisted the work of ArchiAfrika in Ghana, on a conservation and heritage guideline for a Tropical Modernist building. In recent years, I’ve managed JU:KO Designs Ltd. is fledging private practice, an exciting design-focussed enterprise, has produced a progressive archive in private residence, national competitions, interiors, hospitality sectors both in East Africa and London. I’ve architectural experiences in residential, commercial, major office refurbishment, mixed-used and retail sectors. My career is richly inspired by Eva Jiricna and Pierre D’Avoine both long-term friends and mentors. Social responsibilities to, ‘pay it forward’, has led to participation in tutorials, interim and final ‘critic’ sessions at the Bartlett and University of Westminster. Additionally, I’ve mentored five people who have successfully completed their RIBA Part 3, becoming qualified architects. I had an intrigue and when the opportunity presented itself, I researched and wrote an architectural piece commissioned online for the Guardian, first-of-its-kind: “Around Africa in 10 Buildings”, directed by Joe Harker during ‘Week in Africa’ series. 2017 > Heritage and Teaching [A]: Lived in Ghana, assisting on a Tropical Modernist buildingI’m currently a visiting lecturer at UOW, teaching materiality to undergraduate students. Prior, to this ap-pointment, I lived for three months in Accra, working on creating a blueprint heritage and conservation guideline for Accra’s Children Library, designed by Richard Nickson and Borys, 1966.

2013 > Industrial & Mixed Use [E]: Victorian ‘sidings’, Former Glass Factory – Negotiated with TFLProject architect developed the brief, feasibility and outline design of this intriguing and historic building. Satisfactory outline proposals were produced for the consideration of lease tenancy agreement by TFL.

2011 > 2012 > Private Residence [F]: JacQuest Residence, Fulham, London – Design completedCreation of a blueprint refurbishment for existing private residential projects. Thorough research culminated into the Existing, Proposed and ‘Potential’ packages – collaborated with a filmmaker and fashion designer.

2010 > Public Building [G]: Gentlemen’s Convenience / London – ‘Forgotten Spaces Competition’Open ideas competition entry in 2010 organised by RIBA and Qatair Diar. JU:KO’s first local public exhibi-tion (by invitation) of 8 A1 design drawings sheets post competition entry at Durning Library, Kennington.

2009 > Education [H]: Gladesmore Community School / Budget £ 7m – New school entrance Assistant architect developing ‘working drawings’ packages for a new Auditorium and Maths buildings. Designed optional main entrance to the existing proposal in the employer’s requirement – ER, RIBA E – H.

2007 > 2008 > Office [I]: Brettenham House, London / £9.5m, 6,020 sqm – Project completed, 2009 Major remodelling of a 8-storey 1930s office building. Part 3 co-Job Runner, close collaboration with design and construction teams over 18 months, from the enabling works through to post Practical Completion.

2007 > Mixed-use, New Residential [J]: Phase 1 Southside, London / Budget £ 12 m – Planning 2007Part 2 Architectural Assistant worked on developing outline and detail design packages of 45 residential units over five floors, coordinating closely with design consultants and practice team members, RIBA E – H.

2006 > Sculptural Kiosk [K]: Phase 2 Southside Regeneration, London – Planning Approved in 2007I had autonomy to design a landmark sculptural building in Wandsworth. Developed early conceptual, feasibility work, client engagement and production of drawings and documents for planning submission.
